I first got online in late 1994, I think. My dad (who works at a large university) had just gotten access to the Web in his office, and he took me in one weekend to show it to me. I'm pretty sure the browser he was using was Netscape 1.1... no frames, Java, Javascript, animated .gif's, plug-ins, or anything like that. I remember visiting sites like the New Power Network and Richie B.'s morra.et.tudelft.nl server (the latter had the then-unreleased Gold Experience as a collection of .au files).

Then in August 1995, I went to college and got my first email account, plus access to a 24/7 computer lab in my dorm. I subscribed to the PML, witnessed its death, and signed up for the PPML within minutes of Kevin's announcement that he was starting the list.

At some point in 1997, Kevin and Ben put out a call for a volunteer to manage the PPML FAQ. I took the position and have been involved with the PPML/prince.org ever since then, doing various jobs at different times.

Now, here's a challenge for you old-schoolers....

When the Gold Experience was available for downloading at Richie B.'s site, each song had a picture that could have been the cover art for a single. I don't know who made them, but they were beautiful. Did anyone save and keep these images? If so, please orgNote me.
