What is worse is some stuff apearing on Spotify and iTunes store that is obviously not from WB, NPG etc.

It is a bootleg and the only thing you can do as a fan is report it to Ebay, Amazon or whatever site is selling it. I do not know if contacting the Bremer Trust or the law firm respresenting the estate will help as expect they will start taking care of this stuff soon. I am really surprised at the stuff on Spotify and I guess Prince was right about that company

why are you so bothered. Prince used to buy james brown bootlegs himself. . i am sure is estate are going to milk enough money out of is back catalogue so do not worry about them or jayz or brothers warners .

Bullshit there would still be boots. We have copyright right laws for a reason. No one gets away with putting Disney movies up on Youtube without them getting ripped down. Why would anyone with copyright work let others make a profit off it?

Do you not realize the estate needs money for taxes? This is lost of income and Nobody wants to see the catalogue sold off to pay taxes. We can see the polka disco remix version Of Purple Rain.

These releases are not causing there problem and stopping them will not make any difference to there tax bill . They have oppotunity to make more money than before from prince products.

Web Sheriff and others are already upping their vigilance on Youtube and other sites pulling stuff off left and right. I for one, would at lest like the ability to purchase these videos. The market is there. However, do we even know that that will be a future option? I hate to wait and see. Now it sounds like a necessity to sell his catalog of music. Hopefully, the powers that be won't sell it all to a private collector and sell off PP. God forbid!
