yes, a couple of years ago one of my friends held an intervention on my ass and they were like, "you need to face it, you're a hardcore bjork fan".

and i was all, "nuh-uh, i think she's really cool, but i'm not, like, a fanatic."

then my friend proceeded to make a pile of all the cds, box sets, DVDs, videos, books and other assorted bjorkie treats i had all around my apartment. then this friend continued, leading me into the kitchen and pointing to the poster of bjork i have on my back door.

When I saw David Bowie in 2000 I realized I was a huge fan without really noticing earlier. Without owning any albums (at the time) I knew nearly every song played, sang along and had a generally fabulous time.

For me, it's Missy Elliot. I have all her albums except for the last on, "This is not a Test". I looked at my collection one day and I was a little surprised and I don't even listen to all of them that much.

Somehow, without feeling strongly about Elvis Costello one way or the other, I've come to own every album he made up to 1989. Same story with Jason Roback - I like his music, but I'm not madly passionate about it, yet I own every album he's produced to my knowledge - Mazzy Star, Rain Parade and Opal.
