Have you guys heard that 1997 Madonna song "Revenge"? It's an outtake from the 'Ray Of Light' CD and it's been circulating for awhile now.Do you think this track should have made the album? I think it should have replaced the mediocre "Nothing Really Matters".Anyway,for those who want to hear it,go here...

:WORSHIP: Love this song. Funny though; I don't think it fits with the sound of 'Ray of Light', but more with "American Life". Maybe somewhere in between. It's hard for me to say if this should of been a single or not. I can hear some radio potential in it, but I think it has a 'darker' undertone than most of her other releases. So, I don't think it would get much airplay. Look at "Power of Goodbye" and "What it feels like for a Girl" But it definitely would've topped the club charts, with some great remixes. Perhaps by Victor Calderon, Thunderpuss, Trouser Enthusiasts, or even Hex Hector or Danny Tenaglia.

Cool song. Are there more ROL outtakes? Or perhaps songs
that didn't make it onto Erotica?

I can't put my finger on it exactly but the song does sound
like it would be out of place amids the other ROL tracks.

Her vocals are very nice tho.

The others are "Gone, Gone, Gone" and "Like A Flower". I made a 90 minute disc recently adding "Has To Be" and the 3 outtakes to the end. They make nice additions. If the album had been longer, I would place "Revenge" between "Skin" and "Nothing Really Matters". It works OK with the album, but it has a slightly Erotica feel with the simple beats, piano riffs and message. A bit like a softer "Thief Of Hearts" or "Words". "Like A Flower" goes nicely before "Little Star" and "Gone, Gone, Gone" works between "Shanti" and "Frozen". "Has To Be" always goes at the end.
