Do you think James Brown was Murdered?

What a strange read...

The doctor who signed Brown’s death certificate does not believe he died of natural causes. A friend says he has a vial of blood that could be evidence of murder. And the daughter keeping Brown’s crypt won’t say whether he’s in it. The Godfather of Soul has been dead for 12 years, but the questions have not been put to rest.

By Thomas Lake, CNN

I have spent almost two years digging through James Brown’s secret history. I have interviewed nearly 140 people. I’ve gone to the mountains of Oregon to read a dead woman’s notebook, and to a church near Atlanta to hear a tale about a vial of a dead man’s blood. There are many things I still don’t know. But I am certain of this: When it comes to the Godfather of Soul, you should always question the official story.

Officially, Brown died of a heart attack an... his lungs at age 73 in a hospital in Atlanta in the early hours of Christmas Day 2006. Officially, only his personal manager, Charles Bobbit, was with him at the end. Officially, Bobbit heard Brown complain from his bed that his chest was on fire and then saw Brown lie down and die. It was that simple. An old man lived hard and died suddenly. Nothing to see here.

But I have found reasons to question this narrative. So have others who knew Brown — at least 13 who have said they want an autopsy, a criminal investigation, or both.

These skeptics include Marvin Crawford, the doctor who signed Brown’s death certificate; Andre White, a friend who believes he was murdered; Darren Lumar, a son-in-law who claimed to know that Brown was murdered; Frank Copsidas, Brown’s manager; Daryl Brown, one of six heirs named in Brown’s will; Tomirae Brown, James Brown’s fourth wife; Fannie Brown Burford, a friend who calls herself the God Sister of Soul; Anne Weston, a former backup singer; Rita Udom, Brown’s former personal physician; Nick Ashton-Hart, who managed Brown’s international tours; and LaRhonda Pettit, a daughter who alleged that Brown’s crypt was empty.

I thought JB died in the hospital, saying to Bobbitt something like " I think this is the end my friend"??

Yeah I used to think that too. Until I read parts 1-3 of this report. Its just overwhelming. I believe both he and his wife Arienne had some help going to the other side.

Question :who benefitted from JB s death? There was so much children to share the cake...There was also his last wife, who married him in 2001. JB discovered she was already married to another man, from whom she actually divorced in 2004.
.
So when JB died, it wasn't t clear if she could pretend at her share of the JB estate. They had a child together, but she refused DNA test, and even JB had doubts it was his genetic child.
.
JB s "wife" hadn t an agreement with JB's estate until July of 2018!
.
And I M NOT sure JB left a lot of money when he died...There was absolutely zero buzz when he died, beside the then exiled MJ visiting him on his funerals. I thought at the time Too bad there wasn't Prince too!
.
I expected a huge surge in sales for JB but it didn't happen, not even in the USA. In France nobody cared, it was 30 seconds in the news
.
So I don't believe he was killed, he lived 20 more years + than Prince and MJ, that s a huge achievement, and they were all 3 the hardest working men in showbusiness!
.

There are so many famous people in the world that have rumours going around that they were murdered. In rock & roll, Brian Jones is one of them.
Going back in time... Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, Napoleon... There is always somebody who comes up with a murder theory...

I'm still reading the articles as all 3 of the parts are extremely long. The author seems to imply that GFOS had his own version of Elvis' "Memphis Mafia"...

Finished reading it over the weekend. Extremely long read but worth the time. Now I'm wondering 2 things- 1.) where's James' body and 2.) what'll come to light when/if the blood is tested.

The problem with the blood is that it should have been tested way before now.

The journalist offered to have it tested.

Regardless, there was some weird things going down around James, including himself.

lol On a side note, I'm still mad at James for not showing up for a surpise concert in the Florida Keys where I was living in the early 1980s... It was announced on local radio and I waited around until I heard he wasn't gonna show up... razz That would have been my one time to see him...
