Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough
Quincy Jones has announced details of a massive London show, performing Michael Jackson‘s classics ‘Off The Wall’, ‘Thriller’ and ‘Bad’ back to back.
The world exclusive show will take place at The O2 in the capital on Sunday June 23, where the legendary producer will run through the three records he worked on with a live symphony orchestra. He’ll be conducting alongside Jules Buckley, with some very special guests due to appear.

“I had an absolutely beautiful time celebrating my 85th birthday with all-a-y’awl in London at The O2 last year, and I’m looking forward to doing it again this year, except this time, in honour of ‘Off The Wall’, ‘Bad’, and ‘Thriller’,” said Quincy in a statement. “It’s an absolute dream to present this music live, so I hope you’ll come join me for a hang-thang! It’s time to rock wit y’awl!”

but who's gonna actually sing the songs? Will this be one of those big, bloated affairs where Quincy invites a bunch of the young,"hot" artists and rappers to destroy these classic songs? hmmm just like he does on his star-studded albums?

They can go stand over there, waaaay outta my sight and earholes, go be talented to people who don't recognise minnows amongst giants. I'd hope Q gets this right. I'm sniffing payday Q though.

Singers will probably be Jonah Nilsson and Jacob Collier and others that Q currently manages/mentors.

This is Q claiming credit for those albums; saving his legacy from the MJ mess.

I can’t picture anyone singing those songs like MJ did it..instrumentals would be cool, I guess...but don’t drag any imposters up on this stage to butcher those classics.

Is he going to be conducting and introducing songs? I can't figure out what this is. The documentary on him had a snippet in the studio with an anniversary for Beat It that was kinda cool but a little off. I wonder if it's going to be like that.
