Yes. I didn't even know that there were two different versions of the group out there. Hopefully it doesn't take something unfortunate to bring them back together.

I love UNSUNG but seems to me like they're becoming more weak..I can see Adina Howard and The Jets, but again who am I..looking like they're just doing people to have a season..they're still others out to be done:

Ashford and Simpson

Cissy Houston

The Staple Singers

Keith Washington

Curtis Mayfield

Jeffrey Osbourne

Cameo

Why do you need Unsung? If you know where to look, some of these acts and others have done interviews about their careers elsewhere. And some are more in depth than Unsung, which only lasts around 35 minutes without commercials. Unsung usually seems to be like so and so had a hit, then did drugs, and their career crashed, or the group members started fighting and split into 5 versions of the group using the same name. lol Like Jeffrey Osborne did Questlove Supreme last year and a couple of other L.T.D. members appeared on the the Funknstuff show that's on Youtube. Jimmy Jam did a interview with Questlove that lasted around 3 hours. There's also the Funk Museum channel on Youtube and The Foundation which talks about early hip hop artists and Drink Champs about later rappers. You can check out Red Bull Music Academy as well. There's lots of other outlets on Youtube too, and not just for R&B. Maybe some of these outlets aren't as professionally filmed as Unsung, but that doesn't matter if you're interested in their history. Mavis Staples has an autobiography and a documentary.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I see this same situation with so many other bands and it’s absolutely ridiculous. Two or sometimes three different versions of the same band, out there touring disbelief the fans are really the ones who lose.

Tomi Jenkins has left Cameo for a solo career. He has an EP out he did in 2017.

I've seen recent Cameo footage with Larry Blackmon performing without Jenkins but

Aaron Mills still remain on bass. neutral

I think Charlie Singleton (Cameo guitarist) has his own solo band these days. From what I understand (from someone I've talked to in the Cameo camp) is that the band wants to have their own episode of "Unsung"...... but one individual is against it. neutral

Also Nathan Leftenant had his own band that were performing Cameo songs.

I'm guessing Larry is that guy that's against it. He seems to be a very private person

outside the industry.
