Weezer’s Teal album

Cracks me up how popular their covers are. While still undeniably Weezer they’re pretty straight forward meat and potatoes covers. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The funny thing with covers is how people react. Some people feel you have to totally re do and re construct or why bother and then some freak out if you change a classic, it really depends on the fans of the original artist.

I like Weezer and I all these songs but... the production sounds too much like the original. For me what's fun about covers is that the artist often has a different take on the original and puts forth a version with his/her own signature sound.


It's like a wedding band is playing these, albeit a very good wedding band.
