Who do you think are the best melodic guitarists?

Here are my favourites in no particular order

Dave gilmour, Prince, Jimi page, Brian May, Hendrix.

I'm just like everybody else I need love.....and water.

I don't know about best but i like Lindsey Buckingham's guitar(melodic)playing. I also think Geordie Walker(Killing Joke) does some pretty interesting, bad ass things melody wise.

Yep. thumbs up! I would say that the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about King's X, is the guitar melodies. That and the harmony in the background singing.
