Not a total surprise. Three weeks ago, she posted a photo of her in a vocal booth, obviously working on something. One doesn't do that unless something is in the pipelines and closer to the end than the beginning. Depending how far along she is, I could see a late fall album, but maybe as late as next spring. She could coincide that with the end of the SOTW tour. There are only dates through August right now. If that is the end of the tour, a late fall release would be logical, and she could start up a new tour this time next year.

She needs to make a rock tune tearing Trump to shreds if she wants to get in RRHOF.

She hasn't done segues on a large scale for a decade. But even on Discipline, they seemed less important.

Raven & Yvette Nicole Brown are the only true fans I heard describe their fandom for Janet in the most honest,truthful & brilliant way.

Btw Janet looks AMAZING! But I can tell she's VERY worried about her father. She's been retrospective lately.

Checked out the idolator.com story - the writer felt this new song had a more current sound for Janet and that Unbreakable was "dated". I really liked Unbreakable but.... Was Unbreakable "dated"?

Wouldn't say its dated, more like Janet sounding like Janet and not chasing trends.

Definitely was a return to her own sound, which was needed after the last full-length, Discipline.

Just found out that Janet is performing at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC on Saturday, Sept. 29th. Janelle Monae, The Weeknd, Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and John Legend is also scheduled to perform.
