That's rather shocking hearing that Lindsey was fired rather leaving of his own accord. If anyone would have been out my money would have been on Stevie since the last I heard that when it came to getting together to record new material for an album, she was the lone holdout.

eek I'm glad I went to go see them when Christine McVie rejoined the group. A shame they still butt heads after all these years...

I love Neil Finn but I also love me some Lindsey "in Fleetwood Mac" Buckingham.

Finn must be looking at it as a financial windfall, he's one of the most talented composers still alive & kicking.

Now Neil Finn & Buckingham should start a band together, that I'd be excited to see.

I'm glad I got to see them with the classic lineup a few years ago at Madison Square Garden.

Geez! If it ain't one thing its the other with them. Why do they even bother anymore? Just disband the band already.

What did she say? Stevie always has kind words to say about Prince. Saw her perform in the Forum back in 2016 and she made a helluva tribute to him..

She said, that Prince was isolated with no family and probably killed himself over his drug usage.

It definitely strikes a nerve.

But . . . I read the Mirror piece you're referring to, and after seing what she said in context, I'm not going to rip her for it.

Where does it say he was fired. I read that he left due to tour and music differences. Same old shit really, but not sure if he was actually "fired". He is an amazing guitarist.

Completely taken out of context. She was friends with Prince. Let's be honest here, we all know he wasn't overly close to his family. Not saying he didn't see them from time to time but we know he didn't hang out with them and likely didn't share intimacies with anyone in his family.

I don't think she had seen Prince since the 80's? And she stepped over her boundary.

When I saw them four years ago, Lindsey played the entire show except for Mick's drum solo. Everyone else stepped back or got a drink or changed their outfit. They played 1988's Greatest Hits and the rest of the songs on Rumours. I can't imagine seeing them without him. Christine was there too!

Yeah, it was great when she came back on board. I think Christine and Lindsay did an album together. Too bad the rest of the band couldn't get together long enough to do one more album.

Its funny on the conflicting reports out there, one saying FIRED and another he left. At this point the band is not going to record anymore so its not a big deal. Lindsey and Stevie were the strongest of the band, Christine is great but back in whatever year that was when this band recorded without Lindsey that awful shit album "Behind the Mask" it showed who was the force of the band and who was just the NAME.

That Lindsay/Christine album from last year (with John and Mick as the rhythm section on most tracks, but without Stevie) , is probably the closest we'll get to a final FM album
