Chris Brown is a jackass, end of story. I don't care how young he was when he assaulted Rihanna, he has proven to be an arrogant piece of shit many times since then. If the dude really wants to prove to the world that he's a better man worthy of a second chance, he sure as hell should do a better job. Prince was a better man than I am for wanting to reach out to the guy, I suppose, but his energies would have been better spent focusing on people who actually wanted to be a better example to the world.

I wonder if some of the people who have animosity towards Chris Brown have the same attitude towards icons like james Brown and David Ruffin

No one is singing Chris Brown songs. No one is humming anything by him. He's such a c-list singer these days, and that is being generous. Sure, hardcore fans will know the nuances of his music. But who's playing his shit? When is he ever getting press for a great song or a provocative video? Never. Betcha people know about his shenanigans off stage, though. Bieber's bullshit is overshadowed by his nonsense, too but I think if I thought hard enough I could come up with one Bieber song title.

Granted, there are people who don't really get into Prince. But at least they know "Kiss" or "When Doves Cry" or "1999" ... something.

Yes, it sounds really bad, he and someone else decided to have a 'sex party' that only they knew about, and drugged women, took their cellphones, etc.

Sure I can see why, maybe P saw some Tevin Campbell in Fist Brown once upon a time. Beat'em'down Brown could sang before he had to run-it-run-it from the law, then again, I really like the opening song to the G.I. Joe movie, so take it as you will.

yep... as long as you are willing to cut the same slack for other lapses in judgment. I know of a kid that posted a video of himself using racist language. And people want his head. Some say he should never be allowed to finish high school, attended any college, or hold any job. Somehow I bet some of those are more than willing to give some people a break but not some dumb kid.

Didn't he do some collaboration with R Kelly?

I remember a song called Drown In It

Thats what I was thinking lol

.

But CB is in the news again with some "drug fueled orgy" related nonsense, so maybe slack for his early 20s BS is reasonable but he is the new gen R. Kelly.

I'm kinda wondering though thru little snippets if something didn't happen to Jill?? A broken wrist and a boot heel to the head is what is rumored.

An unidentified woman claims singer Chris Brown trapped her in a bedroom of his Los Angeles mansion during a drug-fueled orgy last year — and that one of his friends repeatedly raped her.

In a sexual battery and gender violence lawsuit filed Wednesday, the woman claims Brown orchestrated the horrific assault when he ordered someone to "push a couch in front of the bedroom door" to block it and began playing deafening music and pornography "to create a hyper-sexualized environment in the sealed bedroom."

I don't care for Chris Brown because of what he has done in his personal life. I just don't care for him because he's a shit singer. If I judged which singers I listened to based on their personal lives, I would probably own like 5 albums. lol

In a new lawsuit, Chris Brown is accused of hosting a sex party where a woman was raped multiple times.

Wasn't it said that Chris Brown rejected Prince's help or didn't want it, so case closed on that one.

Lie not true, Prince was eager to mentor him because of the way the world did him. Chris never declined help or mentorship from Prince because Prince was never able to get to him. Chris Brown is a huge fan of both Michael Jackson and Prince just like most of us. Also all y'all promoting that chris brown thing with a girl being raped at his house that's not fair. Local authorities looked into it and found the story false and the girl asked for $17 million and Chris Brown lawyer said no. So now they held a press conference. That's really all the details I saw and that Gloria Allred is the girl lawyer. Chris Brown didn't rape her according to the girl before Gloria Allred was her lawyer. IT was Chris Brown house and that's how his name got involved.

As for the Rihanna thing, Rihanna need to be in jail also for domestic violence as she spit, slapped, and punched Chris Brown in the face and then grabbed his balls. And if you are mad and want to scream Rihanna was defending herself just know both parties agreed that Rihanna did slap and punch him several times out of anger for sleeping with a girl before they was dating. Now lets keep it 100, I'm not saying it's okay to abuse anybody but it's also not okay to excuse anyone from wrongdoing because of their gender. Both Chris Brown and Rihanna should have been in jail from domestic abuse but Chris Brown took full blame and didn't press charges on Rihanna even after the State prosecutors and his lawyers pressured him. Witnesses from her camp also told police that she always slapped or hit Chris in the face when she was angry with him throughout their relationship.

What I'm basically pointing out is, how people support and laugh at females physically and verbally abusing males but want off with a males head when he abuse a female. It's not funny to the moms and sisters who watch their sons/brothers get abused by abusive females in public and at home. OR even locked up after the female feel she has beat him enough and then call the police and scream abuse or rape when the male did neither. So if you call yourself being fair then you all need to hold Rihanna accountable for also performing domestic violence acts and then lying saying she did nothing to him. And don't twist my words and say bullshit like I'm supporting a womanizer because that's not what I wrote. But I know somebody dumbass will say that and all I have to say to that is when a lady beat your son or brother to death I want you to support her like you support these other females out here abusing and killing innocent kids and men/women. Thank God for lesbians though because they are the reason most of these abusive lying girls is getting locked up and people are now growing aware of the bad teachings of it's okay to physically abuse males. So thank you LGBTQ and thank you to all the women who don't tolerate physical and verbal abuse from males or females. And them women usually have good guy friends or sons, or brothers.

Again I don't support domestic violence from males or females. Lets stop abusing one another and learn to talk it out or remove ourselves when we are angry.

For those interested this is the interview from Rolling stone excerpt

Afterward, the band does a photo shoot in Studio C – one shot is intended for the cover of a "Stopthistrain" single that never actually comes out. Prince disappears for a while before returning with a MacBook that has Delilah live on Skype – he shows her the shoot via webcam. It's past midnight when we begin talking again. He mentions a desire to mentor Chris Brown, says he invited him to Paisley Park. I note that some people think what Brown did to Rihanna was unforgivable. He's shocked. "Unforgivable?" he says. "Goodness. That's when we go check the master, Christ. ... Have you ever instantly forgiven somebody?" I shake my head. "It's the best feeling in the world, and it totally dismantles that person's whole stance." He talks more about mentoring and helping peers, so I wonder aloud if he thinks he could've forestalled Michael Jackson's fate. "I don't want to talk about it," Prince says at first. "I'm too close to it." He goes on: "He is just one of many who have gone through that door – Amy Winehouse and folks. We're all connected, right, we're all brothers and sisters, and the minute we lock that in, we wouldn't let anybody in our family fall. That's why I called Chris Brown. All of us need to be able to reach out and just fix stuff. There's nothing that's unforgivable."

How might he have devoted time to mentoring someone with so much going wrong in his own life (i.e. chronic pain, secret battle with substance abuse)?

Yep. People forget Chris was a baby and they vilified him. Chris didn’t have the proper support, tools or resources to overcome things sadly. He’s still very talented. His talents arent maximized due to his other foolishness.
