Sooooo glad I didn't get tickets for this tour now. Have always wanted to see them and figured this would be my last chance, but they were way too expensive.

Lindsey is 70% of Fleetwood Mac to me ... if I'd have purchased tickets and got this news I'd have been majorly pissed ...!!!!

Fleetwood Mac can stuff it. They are nothing without Buckingham.

True, dat.

AND what Stevie said about Prince in 1 of her interviews she can suck it too.

Haha.
I must have missed that interview.
Time for the band to hang it up already

Most artists don't retire. Even Joni Mitchell still paints.

Its funny on the conflicting reports out there, one saying FIRED and another he left. At this point the band is not going to record anymore so its not a big deal. Lindsey and Stevie were the strongest of the band, Christine is great but back in whatever year that was when this band recorded without Lindsey that awful shit album "Behind the Mask" it showed who was the force of the band and who was just the NAME.

That Lindsay/Christine album from last year (with John and Mick as the rhythm section on most tracks, but without Stevie) , is probably the closest we'll get to a final FM album

They have said this is the new band line-up. I bet they will write and record together. Stevie Nicks said Lindsey was dragging his feet on signing up to tour with them this year, so that's why there is a conflict of stories.

"This band is a team. I love my solo career and I am the boss, but I am not the boss in this band," Stevie said.

Thanks for the video.
Very reminiscent of the Steve Perry/Journey split

Stevie Nicks made a good point. In a solo career, you are your own boss. You can tour or not tour. But when you’re in a band, you are part of a team. You’re not the boss. You can’t just tell the boss “I don’t wanna tour this year” smile You’re expected to show up for work.Kinda reminds me of what Glenn Frey said in the Eagles documentary: it’s not a democracy.Every band must have a boss...a leader.

Anyway...I’m glad that I saw them in concert several years ago, when Christine came back into the band.Who knows if Lindsey will ever be allowed to re-join the band? shrug

Which makes Nicks a hypocrite as she has refused to both tour and record with the band in recent years. One rule for her, another for Buckingham.

not really. she did that knowing she might get fired... she took that risk and she was not called out or given an ultimatum. If the would have given her one she might have changed her mind.

Exactly what I was going to say. Bring Peter Green back in especially. He still gigs and puts out albums too if I'm correct.

I think there was a documentary about Peter awhile back, or maybe it was just an interview. I wonder who has had the most members - Fleetwood Mac or The Temptations. razz

I love Neil Finn, but this is not what I want from him. And to the extent that I appreciate Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham is the one responsible for most of what I like.

So when I saw them on the floor, I paid around $250 and that was before I had a partner. Now it is $250 for FIRST LEVEL for one ticket, and I sure can't afford two.

I like Fleetwood Mac, but Neil Finn is my favorite! Guess I’ll be paying out the nose to see this new configuration.

luvesexy4all, you'd be surprised how many of these bands live from tour check to tour check. lol Home here and there, the private jets, ex-spouse and child support payments, spending go gobbles of money whenever they want to. The have a lifestyle to maintain. lol

More importantly, if you worked all of your life, retirement is a bore. I know this from personal experience. I was in White Castles a couple of months ago, I kept looking at the woman saying, "I've seen her before." It dawn on me this woman use to work with my late aunt at Ford. She told me she couldn't take it doing nothing day after to day.... how many trips and cruises can one take. lol

Good points.
Along with their own lifestyles, many people in theIr positions have a network of people...family, employees, employees families...who they have supported through the years. I'm sure the responsibility of that can feel cumbersome.
