Hard Days Night or Help? (Films)

This one is for Beatles fans (Obliviously)
But what Beatle film do you prefer more?

A Hard Days Night or Help?

For me, It's a Hard Days Night.

A Hard Day's Night is a simple idea with perfect execution. A Hard Day's Night has the best songs and the best album sequence (Help is no slouch either)

Help feels like a difficult second film that to quote Paul Mccartney suffered from paraphrase alert "Oh we have never been skiing can you put that in, oh we've never been to...... can you put that in the plot."

I treasure Help, but Hard Day's Night sets up the classic caracatures of the Beatles in film and has the classic Ringo sequence, Wilfred Brambel being very clean, and some nice John Lennon schtick.

I like how George Harrison speaks almost entirely in idiomatic phrases in this film.

A Hard Day's Night is a classic!

Help! is poor, I think. I mean, it's cute in a mid-60s' kitsch kind of way, but The Beatles were otherwise always above kitsch. There are some rather off-putting cultural tourism / borderline-racist kind of stuff in it, too (not that The Beatles had anything to do with the story).

What's amazing about A Hard Day's Night is that it was made on the cheap, in a hurry, akin to a 15-minutes-of-fame cash-in kind of project, but somehow it transcended its origins to be something special. (albeit it did create caricatures of The Beatles)

"A Hard Day's Night" is a masterpiece

"Help" is very entertaining, but not as good
