Damn, I'm starting to feel old what with so many artists I grew up with dying off or retiring... razz lol

But, Cher seems to last forever... lol

I met Elton around 1981. I'm looking forward to him coming to my town in 2019!

During his announcement he said he isn't Cher. He wants to stay home and be with his family. He has kids now, so I don't blame him.

But...maybe this one's more appropriate... "I've finally decided my future lies...beyond the Yellow Brick Road..."

Why do you hope that? What difference does it make anyway? Either you want to go see an artist or don't. If you like the artist, are you pissed that after his farewell tour you get a chance to see him again? Or are you only going, because you want to say "I saw him on his last tour."? If so, why is that important? And really, I'm glad those kind of people got punk'd. Considering though he will be 73 when the tour is over, I'm pretty sure it is his last. He is pretty sure about it.

Philadelphia Freedom was my favorite somg for a LONG LONG time....i asked my daddy as a child to buy the 45 for me ...he was flabbergasted that i would want him to spend his hard earned money on an Elton John record, when there was plenty of good Motown, P-Funk, James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, SalSoul Orchestra, OJays, Steel Pulse, Black Uhuru, and Spinners and Jacksons, etc., already in the house...my father wasnt feeling my 'diverse' music choices at all...he did buy me that record though...and i wore it out ....

Wow so who now in the inudstry is going to sell out shows, once Elton, Billy and Bon Jovi call it a day i think we are going to see the days of playing big places come to an end.
