I can't say about shredding but I will say Justin Lyons did his thing with his Purple Rain guitar solo tribute. This short clip left me wishing for more..

Tosin Abasi is the guy you wanna see. He can play circles around the others suggested to you.

Lenny Kravitz sounds like my 10 year old nephew touching an axe for the first time. Abasi wouldn't classify himself as a shredder, but he shreds here and there, plays some neo-classical stuff.

lol Dude, please! I saw name BLACK GUITARISTS and that's where I went. Furthermore, for you to say such of the number of greats on my list already proves you haven't a slightest clue.

Dude, get over yourself! Really?! It's nothing serious. You're getting too caught up in your feelings over something as trivial as an opinion...😄😄 Who died and made you a guitarist "ambassador?" Your previous rant clearly showcases your blatant ignorance and uncertainty of knowledge here. If you release the air that's clogging up your brain, then you'll realize that there are different styles of SHREDDING, being music has different genres. I wasn't checking, nor did I ever call or ask for your wasted "insight." Keep that and just scroll on!! My list is what it is and it stands as is. Whoever disagrees, so?! My opinion...my view!!! Good day!

Excellent music from your brother and his group, Dasein!

Loved it all the way through...thought they had segued into another song, but it was the same song.

Since he's your brother, I'll bet you'll take credit for him being good!

From my understanding, Hampton's been popping off some spot dates with his "Kidd Funkadelic Band". Now that mugg has acclaimed leendary status in my book for sure.

Man, he's legendary.

I so agree. Jimi Hendrix lived with isley family from 1963-1965:
