That's the thing... I've seen just about everybody I wanted to see including acts nobody ever thought would go on stage again: Sly Stone, Kate Bush... I'm good...

You are very lucky. I have been very envious of friends when we get talking at parties and they all saw Whitney Houston, George Michael, David Bowie.

It was actually the death of young Dolores O'Riordan that got me to thinking I never saw the Cranberries, but I think they toured around here about 22 years ago.

Surely, there is a living artist you have yet to see.

I am so glad I saw Fleetwood Mac reunited about four years back. I would love to see her solo show though!

I am actually so envious that my co-worker saw The Eagles before Glenn Frey kicked it.

Yes, I'm lucky because I live in a country that's rarely overlooked when big acts are touring and we have North Sea Jazz, Pinkpop and other festivals...
It's a bummer that I missed Midnight Oil's reunion tour, but then again, I saw them too in the 90s.
Manu Chao would be nice but I don't know if he tours Europe these days.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted to see the Who. Finally got the chance in 2014 when a relative surprised me with second row seats in Houston. The cool part of the show? Some of her friends were sitting in the front row and saw me singing along to "A Quick One" and asked did I want to come up front. I screamed "Hell yeah" because it was on my bucket list to sing along to "Baba O'Riley" and I got my chance. To make the cake a bit sweeter, Roger Daltrey saw me singing along and gave me props from the stage. I damn near melted! I can honestly say that I have been blessed to see all my musical heroes/heroines live in concert.

The Original 7ven. I've seen Morris Day and The Time many times, but never the original lineup.

Maybe Public Image Ltd. if they ever tour again. I should have seen them live a long time ago. No excuse there.

Living in New York, I've seen just about everyone else I want to see. Two artists who immediatley come to mind I'm very thankful I did see before they died are Suicide and Amy Winehouse.

I've seen them almost all, or they are dead. Perhaps the original Beach Boys, haven't seen them yet!

^^^^ I'd seen Sly Stone PLAY GUITAR .... (*surprisingly well, considering his limited range on keys now)

ONSTAGE at his 55th? Birthday party. That was cool.

I TOO don't like the phrasing list. So I'll rephrase my answer as WHAT ARTISTS are on your bucket list? (Live)

JOHNNY MATHIS
TONY BENNETT (*just saw him at Stevie 's annual toy concert but that wasn't enough)
MEGADETH (*been to 4 shows where they opened but I've always missed them ...they even played in daylight when i was driving 120 mph down to Chula Vista CA cause my female interest ruined my HEAVEN AND HELL show the day and a half before

...honestly can't think of any others right now. ...no contemporary "artist" makes me feel as great as any of those.

Notable SEENS: (*before. ...)

LITTLE RICHARD
SAM MOORE
THE WHO (*with entwistle)
BLACK SABBATH (Dio/Ozzy)
JUDAS PRIEST
GIL SCOTT HERON
ETTA JAMES
JOSE JOSE
WILLIE NELSON
FAITH NO MORE

I missed Merle....finances.

I guess ....GRAHAM CENTRAL STATION (*I've seen Larry with Prince a few times)

Oh i DO have one. ...MOTHERF**** EURYTHMICS!!

I was a kid in High School the last time they did a tour... for the PEACE album. Tickets were stratospheric (for me...with no real income in HS cause my mom wouldn't let me get a PT job) as the concerts were "non profits" for GREENPEACE...although the style was changed to mostly acoustic (they virtually changed up the entire band with each album/tour) they still were wonderful and iconic (thanks to DVD/VHS for preserving that) Would've LOVED to have seen them in 87 when Annie was smoking hot... she's still gorgeous...but u know...a much older woman now

I knew it was rare to begin with, but they've never made another tour

I've always hoped I'd run into Stevie again and HINT at getting them together for one of his Christmas shows. ...i know damn well they'd do it

Saw them a couple of times when on their top, nice and fun but nothing really 'extra' as a concert. Like, not memorable.

That's one of the last concerts I paid more than a C-Note for and it was worth every penny. The band is among the elite.

a few years ago i nearly had a chance to go see sly stone, cuz he was finna do a show at first ave. it was weird, because both he and george clinton were gonna be in mpls to do separate shows on separate dates, at first ave...i had to make a choice between seeing one or the other because i couldn't afford to see both, unfortunately. sad

i ended up going to go see george n'them cuz his show was cheaper. fun as hell, and i got to see garry shider do his thing (iirc it was one of the last shows he was in before he passed away sad). sly ended up cancelling his gig due to some scheduling conflict, so i dodged a bullet on that one. still, it woulda been cool to see him.

Still coming to grips with the fact that I passed on going to see Tom Petty a couple of years ago. disbelief So...going to see ELO in LA in a few months. Cannot pass on Mr Lynne, especially now when all of my heroes seem to be dropping like flies!!!!!!

Make it so, Number One...

I have seen all that I want to see, there are a few I WISH I had seen of course, like Bowie, and Freddie Mercury with Queen, but after that I have seen everyone I want to see, and no one out now that I want to see that I have not.

I'd seen the both of them soon after the Birthday gig mentioned above... they were to play a place called the "Little temple" or something like that.... They both took the stage... SLy was in a Halloween Grey Spiderman (with fake muscles) outfit...and GC was his usual self with a white jacket and funky hair.

I took a nice close pic with GC afterward...but essentially it went like this:

1) Waiting for them to play
2) Announced delays
3) waiting for them to play (keep in mind this place held like 200 ppl max, breaking fire code prob)
4) waiting

5) Announcement that the fire marshalls want to close the venue down (blamed on a water issue)
6) We'll play something and make a quick show, but disperse

7) maybe 1 1/2 hours later [since the beginning of the open doors etc] - Announcement.... Everybody will have to leave. The show will not happen.
8) Talked to GC in the lot outside. Took a snapshot with him. Voiced my disappointment but had to be on my way.... didn't chat with Sly... he always disappeared to some back room etc.

I'll have to raid my old PC for those photos. I had them on MYSPACE as well...but ...u know... I can't recall how to get back into that damn thing or if they even retained my info after all these years.

Anyways, another I'd like to see

DOLLY PARTON (it's her birthday today... happy 72nd!)

She's another multi instrumentalist, composer, singer... MASSIVE talent.

ADDENDUM:

i found an LA WEEKLY write up on it (The George Clinton/Sly Stone secret show...) Wish i could read about it from someone elses perspective...but I'm at work...."not permitted"

I KNOW it would be good. One of the few "live" DVDs and CDs I truly enjoy.
