AC/DC’S MALCOLM YOUNG DIES sad sad sad

November 18, 2017
AC/DC

AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young has died at the age of 64, the band have confirmed.

“It is with deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of Malcolm Young, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother,” AC/DC said in a statement on their website. “Malcolm had been suffering from dementia for several years and passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside.”

Sad to hear. Though weeks for Angus and the family. First George, now Malcolm. Life isn't fair sometimes.

That was fast. Meaning, it was pretty recent that he left the band because of fighting dementia. I don't know how far along his struggle was, but this news comes soon after that initial public statement on it. 64 is not old either. My mom was quite fit and vibrant when she suddenly died just after turning 65 (colon cancer).

I wonder about the future of the band. Although, maybe retirement or other music ventures would be in order.

I assume the article is talking about early onset Alzheimer's which can take people down heartbreakingly fast... RIP Mr. Young. rose

He officially left in 2014, but had issues before. 2010 was the last time he toured with them.

As for the band. Why should Angus start from scratch?? It was going well with Axl Rose.

RIP MALCOLM YOUNG

AC/DC came with that thump and always perfomed in concerts like it would be their very last. My deepest condolences to the Young family.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That's OK....I like Brian Johnson, but I prefer Bon Scott he was pure fire especially preforming live.

.

I and my good friend (the biggest ACDC fan I know) agree with you 100%!

.

There was only one Bon Scott. His voice was ACDC to us, Brian's alright but he screams more than he sings.

.

Finding a woman who likes ACDC, much less, understands the distinction...

.

Goddess, you ROCK! \m/
