Taking a break from his feud with The Rock, Tyrese has now switched gears to promoting his upcoming rap album, which he says will change hip-hop.

On Tuesday (Oct. 17), the Fast and The Furious star posted a photo on Instagram of him, JAY-Z and the President of Urban Music at RCA Records, Mark Pitts, and tagged a number of industry veterans.

In his post, Tyrese wrote, "Asked [sic] anybody I tagged about this album...... This new album is inspired by Jay-Z. My motto is #IDentityTheftDoubleAlbum is Jay’s spirit, PAC’s Soul and Sonically Dre’s Ears...... I know your first instincts is to say GTFOH put me in the ( Singer and Actor box and throw away the key )...but you will see folks very very soon that this rap album is far from play play........"

Tyrese ended his post by claiming the album will change the genre and said he was doing it for the culture. "#LaughNowDickRideLater," he added.

In a separate post, the actor posted a clip of a song that appears to be from the upcoming album. While its uncertain who is featured on the song, Tyrese wrote, "BlackTy feat Future this is an early reference #Ghostwriter when will I drop – no one knows."

The actor also revealed he would be "pressing play" at the Roc Nation offices but said he wouldn't be signing a deal with the label. "Not interested in deal, already signed myself," he wrote.

I hope he's getting some help.

Maybe he's having a breakdown. The thing with The Rock, claiming Will & Jada Smith gave him 5 million dollars for his custody battle, the crying video, etc.

i have never known anyone who owned or listened to a Tyrese album...this guy appears to be an idiot and a clown.... and the couple times i have heard him sing, i was not at all impressed...he sounds like every other tom, dick and harry that tries to sing, but has no originality or hook... time for him to get a 9 to 5...

Tyrese needs to stay away from social media. It seems to work against him than for him...I remember he almost got Dr. Dre in some shit for recording himself at Dre's studio hyping Dre's new music deal.

He said he should have been paid more because of Transformers....smh. What that has to do with a concert tour is beyond me.

I saw his cry video on FB, his strange Tweet about thinking about your kids when you have sex with your wife etc. And I don't know anyone that ever had an Album from that guy. Frankly, I believe he's delusional.

Drama queen. I like him but starting to see how he acts...

i have Black Rose, it's decent album. not totally a big fan of his voice but the music is good.
