The Space Between - Majid Jordan

Album finally dropped.
It's everything and more.
No hype, this album lived up to and exceed what I anticipated.
On first listen "OG Heartthrob" is my favorite track.

Tidal streaming the album in full.

Listening to the new album this morning and it's excellent!! They have defintely improved their sound. It has a smooth synth pop sound mixed with 90s R&B production. The singles featuring Partnextdoor and dvsn (who also have excellent new albums) should be getting more play on urban and pop radio.

Don't their songs start to sound the same after a while??

That might have been the case with their earlier work. IMO I think whichever one is the lead singer (Majid or Jordan) has gotten a lot better and portraying the lyrics than before. The thinner vocals made a lot of the songs sound similar. This time the vocals are stronger and the production's a little more varied. But its still a vibe so you have to be into their sound. Favorites so far are the opener Gave Your Love Away, Body Talk, One I Want and You.

Sounds like they are evolving. I'll be giving it a listen. Cheers!

You know. I'm just going to say that I liked the first album more.

The new one follows the same deep moody path the first one does...however falls short on memorability. While the first fell short with keeping up with wearther they wanted to party or be moody it exceeded in melody and being catchy.

The first track however "Give Your Love Away" is a jam is is more on point with where their first album succeeded in. However "OG..." and "Body Talk" are good and deserve listens. But listening to it as a whole made me only wish to pull the first one out again.

Download all the shit hop that you can for your kids, neices, nephews, and their friends also. That will prevent them from going out and buying it and will prevent some shit hop sales. Every little bit helps - Andy
