Is this legal?

So I stumbled over this FB account and it goes under the alter ego of Prince, "Alexander Nevermind." Now my Question is: Is this legal? Like, did Prince have actually the rights to that name? Because this guy is selling music under that Name. But he also keeps posting cryptic messages, or DID post them. Some were backwards written. And the messages make some people believe that the user is Prince.

Is he allowed to do that, or could he get charged? Is he allowed to use the name the way he does?

Does somebody know anything about this?

I'll just leave the link to the page here:

https://www.facebook.com/Alexander-NeverMind-167515123288367/

If it's not allowed, is there any chance to inform the estate about this? I'm sorry but I got so many questions and I don't know what to think about the whole thing. Because some people believe that's Prince and I'm afraid they only buy the stuff 'cause he plays with their minds to make them believe this crap.

Um, maybe it is time to step away from Princeland for a while...I had to do it.

He never went by that name, so it's perfectly legal. Is the Starr Company even one of his official publishing companies? If not, you can go by Jamie Starr too. lol

..and that was just an answer. My answer is who gives a shit? Why is this trivial thing so important to you? Does it effect your life in any way at all really? Live your life.

It doesn't affect my life in any way, I just wanted to know if it was legal, nothing more, no need to answer so snappy, but I guess that's the norm here on the org.

Live your life? Just 'cause I wanted to know if this account was legal..... smh aren't you one of the people who discussed Prince's sexuality on here? Does it affect your life?
