Tito Time - new album by Tito Jackson - check it out! I was fortunate enough to catch the Jacksons this year (if you get the chance, go, they still got it)! It was the first truly joyous show I have attended since I last saw Prince. Showmanship and talent.
I digress! Tito did a solo slot show casing his new album and so I investigated. So glad I did. There are a couple of not so great tracks, but on the whole it is a great project and encompasses different genres. if you are anything like me get a copy and pop it on in the car it is something I just really enjoyed. Haven't stopped playing it for months. Wanted to post as it is something that could go under the radar in this fast paced world and I wanted fellow orgers to get to hear it! My favourite tracks (personally) are get it baby and one way street. Tito time - 8/10 and who knew he was such a great singer! Love Tito!  [Edited 9/29/17 16:05pm] | |

It came out in 2016. I know people have short attention spans now, but that is still fairly new, especially since Tito is the only of the siblings not to release a solo album before now. Even his sons (3T) and Marlon's son put out albums before him. Tito did record a solo album at Motown, but it still hasn't been released as of yet. I heard it was instrumentals, which is interesting since Tito & Jermaine weren't allowed to play on the J5 studio albums. If this is true, then it must be something like that Eivets Rednow album. I wonder how Motown was planning to market such an record if they had released it. That Motown album was gonna be released on the MoWest imprint, not one of the major subs at Motown like Motownm Tamla or Gordy. Even if released, proably would have went unheard like Jackie Jackson. The on;y charting artist on Mowest was GC Cameron and I thinkRare Earth was on Mowest too. PRINCE: Always and Forever

Rare Earth was on the Rare Earth label, which Motown also used for other rock oriented acts. Meatloaf was part of a group that released an album on Rare Earth in the early 1970s. In Argentina, the Dancing Machine album by the Jackson 5 came out on Rare Earth too.
