I've recently rediscovered the A Tribe Called Quest back catalog thanks to the great sound of the streaming albums on Amazon Prime music player. My CD rips had lower volume and these remasters sound amazing!

Good to know.

I gave the following albums a spin this week:

Steely Dan -- Aja (one of the finest rock albums ever, in memory of Walter Becker)

Van Hunt -- Popular (were it only released earlier . . . solid, creative piece of work)

Me'Shell NdegeOcello -- Comet, Come To Me (didn't grab me when it first came out, enjoyed it better after years between spins)

You?

.

Its a fantastic album! I was lucky enough to secure the bonus tracks (Enjoy The Silence, Never Still Water, and Who Wears The Crown) along with non-album track Harvey. Shame this stuff is obscure but kinda fun for those who have found it. Never Still Water was later released on "Buy This Fracking Album".

I'll have to find those.

One of the greatest hip-hop duos of all time. Mecca winds up filling my summer playlists, and Ingredient fills my fall playlists.

I'm gonna see them live this Thursday! in a really small, small, smaaaaalll and intimate club just 100 meters from my flat. gonna be a BLAST

She is great. You should listen the english version of Inevitable, is not as great as the spanish version but you the translation is almost the same.

Post a review if you can! Great gig.

that was a great gig, but way too short! only a solid hour. they browsed through all the 2 1/2 albums and squeezed quite a lot of their songs into, but most of them rather shortened around 2 minutes. Pete also mixed some short snippets of old soul classics into the show, like Marvin Gaye, Brick, Keni Burke, Al Green and lots of others, and even some Bee Gees

only around 100 people fit into the venue, they had to send many poeple away cause that shit was sold out! yo yes, I'm proud of my little hometown in Austira, I didnt know there are more than 10 people here who even KNOW who PR&CL are. I was wrong. energetic crowd and mostly youngsters . I was certainly the oldest one in the audience. once again LOL but I'm used to that at hip hop shows nowadays hehe. I was in front row of course partying hard, showing the new generation how to kick some serious ass biggrin

here's a snippet I took from the TROY finale

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!
