His current guitarist Ricky Rouse is no slouch either. Has a lot of the Jimi fire in his playing. Ron Bykowski was good too....Eddie and Byrd are my two top faves.

Rouse was kind of an honorary member even back in the old Detroit 20 Grand days. He once told us it was actually him that came up with the main guitar lick on the song Bop Gun.

Gang of stuff. The Freeze, Accupuncture, Freak Of The Week, Jimmy G Tackhead stuff, Fries, Quickie. Joined the in late 70's. Go to you tube and search Brides Of Funkenstein live in Houston.

speaking of P-funk guitarists......I saw a P-Funk show last month and I purchased this CD at the merchandise stand....

Byrd also played on "Survival Of The Fittest" (1975) by The Headhunters...great stuff. The "P-Funk Guitar Army Tribute To Jimi Hendrix" CD's (1991 or 92) are cool too.
