Who should perform 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show?

I'd like to nominate George Clinton & P Funk All Stars ... Long overdue. Your thoughts?

Super Bowl LII - US Bank Stadium MPLS

Thank you Prince!

Guns N' Roses. No question about that. But I guess they will come up with some other crap.

One of these:

Bon Jovi

Hall & Oates

Duran Duran

Billy Joel

New Edition (all 6)

Rod Stewart

Depeche Mode

Snoop Dogg

The Police

gEEZ....

work must be really killing my brain. YES.. by Jove, this is the only credible act, particularly concerning their "not in this lifetime" tour. Then that'd open the door for METALLICA (although I really don't like them as a sum....I do like a few albums)

I don't think the SuperBowl would showcase GC.... He named one of his daughters SATIVA for goddssakkes...

If they played... it'd be a Super BOWL.... a hit.

It'd also be bittersweet...with all the P Funk members who've passed in recent years, Gary Shider, Bernie Worrell...Junie Morrison, P-Nut Johnson....et all.... But I'd love to see them. If only it were strictly P FUNK... no Snoop Dogg etc..

THAT SAID....It'll probably be Selena Gomez/Ariana Grande...

I'm really surprised Stevie hasn't had one

P-Funk would be interesting. One Nation Under a Grove would be a pretty good song to perform in this current climate.

We need to bring the Halftime show back to the modern age, but they might be afraid with these young ones that another boob will pop out. lol

The same young ones that play Grand Theft Auto where you can pick up hookers? lol There's all kinds of stuff on Tumblr and there's kids & teens using that site. There's nudity on Youtube too because people post movies there. Some videos get age restricted where you have to sign in to see it, but there's some videos that are not blocked. Anyway, people can put any age when they sign up, so that doesn't really stop anybody from seeing it. You can also get around the age restriction by posting the video URL elsewhere like Tumblr.

Why? Who is the demographic that watches the Superbowl?? Teenage girls and Justin Bieber fans?? I don't think so.

Even if true, you lose for knowing that. My feeling is they've ran out of credible acts. Every legacy artist has done it at least once or they're now dead. What a nightmare to have to pick from the more modern acts. Yikes!

Yeah, we'll, we'll try to imagine what silence looks like.

Well. Metallica and Kiss would be two further candidates, who will mean something to the Superbowl crowd.

Some of these people have already done it. It's not the old days when Up With People did the halftime show almost every year. Out of the rest, I think Garth Brooks is the most likely to be invited. If you look in Billboard, country & rap are the most popular genres in the states, and there's now the sub genre "hick hop".

Garth puts on a heck of a show.
