ice T aint Unsung he got a greatest hits package and still on Law and Order for the last 17 years lol but okay I'm down for the rest. Wyclef its about time his story is told too.

In the 90's I learned about him through his Behind The Music episode. That song almost ruined his career

I kinda figured that SWITCH was only going to be relegated to the side story of the DEBARGE episode. I used to know Greg Williams from my studio days. Nice bunch of guys. I'm sure they'd LOVE to be the focus of an episode.

I wish these episodes were ALL on demand...but unfortunately theyre not (for my service at least).

....How about one on Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes?...also ..I know MAZE (feat Frankie Beverly) get clout in the black community (and musician community sometimes)....but they too have caverns worth mining.....also ROY AYERS/UBIQUITY doesn't get his due

They might be too ancient for the audience they're trying to reach. They're probably not going for the Murder She Wrote/Matlock age group. Unsung's been doing 90s acts for awhile now like Montell Jordan, Hi Five, DJ Quik, Geto Boys, etc. The Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame have been inducting 90s acts in recent years too. At least some of the 1970s & 1980s acts still get airplay, so people today might know them. What regular free radio stations nowadays play The Shirelles? I remember in the 1990s, there was talk that En Vogue was going to act in a biopic about them. I think PBS had a documentary about girl groups years ago. I know they ran one for Doo Wop and about a month ago PBS ran a miniseries documentary called American Epic, which is about the early record industry. It came on every Tuesday for 4 weeks. Robert Redford is one of the people behind it.

1990 is almost 30 years ago, so it is the past for the younger generations. There's people who have never lived in a world where hip hop has not existed. Sanford & Son wasn't the 1960s girl group era. It was the 1970s. Anyway TV is different from radio. There's many channels (even on free non-cable/satellite TV) and they have to fill it up with something. I've seen a channel that shows Amos & Andy reruns. I Love Lucy has never been off the air and one of the channels (I think CBS) sometimes show newly colorized episodes of Lucy. In the past there were 3 networks (ABC, NBC, CBS), public television (PBS) and a few local stations on the UHF dial. So there was less need for a lot of programming to fill hundreds of TV channels.

Doesn't TV One have the show R&B Divas? That's pretty much singers from the 1990s and 2000s. There's nobody from the 1960s on the show. I Love The 90s tours have been popular for a few years now. There was a recent movie remake of Baywatch, and most of the TV show was in the 1990s. Xscape has recently reunited and theres a tour with BBD, SWV, and En Vogue. The 1990s are in. Even Unsung Hollywood doesn't have much pre-1970s, maybe Dick Gregory. They've done Viveca Fox & Meagan Good. It's doubtful that they're trying to reach an older audience with Meagan.
