I got ticket for the Jacksonville show!

Gil posted video of the dance rehearsals. It's August so Janet needs to get out and start promoting the show. She must rebuild her tour reputation. She has got to show up and show out!!!!

I got my tickets to see Janet and that is all I really care about and I am super excited. Gonna wear Janet gear and stan the fuq out. razz She is one of my favs and a living legend. I could care less if she promotes the tour or not. I just want to see her live. I think at this point Janet has ruined her tour reputation and is horribly mismanaged. I think once she finishes up this tour this will be her last tour. I think she should just retire from music and raise her child. She has nothing else to prove.

Inside Janet Jackson's Grueling Rehearsals, 65-Pound Weight Loss

-

Janet Jackson is working hard to guarantee her upcoming tour will be "perfection," a source close to the Jackson family tells ET.

-

On Monday, the 51-year-old singer showed off her slim post-baby body on Twitter, sharing a pic of herself in rehearsals. Our source says Jackson's been rehearsing "almost 15, 16 hours" a day in preparation for her State of the World tour, which kicks off in Lafayette, Louisiana, on Sept. 7.

-

"It's a grueling schedule but she is up to the task," the source says. "She wants to blow the crowd away. She will be perfection like her brother, Michael. She's all about the showmanship."

Clearly, Jackson is looking in shape since she gave birth to son Eissa in January.

-

"Hey u guys. I’m so excited for the State of the World Tour. We r in rehearsal mode. See u guys in 1 month!"

-

"She has lost more than 65 pounds and has her pre-baby body back and then some," our source says. "It's possible that she could lose another 10 pounds before the start of the tour."

-

As for spending time back in Los Angeles after living in London, England -- where her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana is based -- the source says Jackson is loving being closer to her family.

-

"She's happy to be back in the states in L.A. where she learned about music and performing with her brothers, and it was important for her to give this experience to her son," the source shares. "She wants baby Eissa to know her family."

-

Jackson hasn't been shy about being out and about in L.A. She and Eissa visited Kitross Kids, a children's store on Robertson Blvd., on Saturday, a second source tells ET. They played with colorful baby toys while in the store, and the source noted that the singer looked to be in incredible shape.

-

"Janet was in great spirits," the source says. "She was a very doting mother. She looked amazing. She's slimmed down and ready for her tour."

-

As for 7-month-old Eissa being on the road with Jackson, our original source says it won't be an issue.

-

"Eissa is an easy baby," the source says. "He'll be a great roadie!"

-

-

How much you guys want to bet that "the source" is no other than her brother, Randy? lol

I saw her the first go around and I'm glad I did--looks like the venues are bigger and seats more expensive (except for price drops on cheap seats in larger venues). I could see her doing a residency in the future a la Celine Dion when she was raising her child and she can continue to make albums. It's too bad the tour was postponed though...she was building steam doing shows in small venues. The one I went to was sold out both nights.

You're so lucky! I'm just praying she doesn't cancel again and everything goes smoothly. She will permanently kill her touring reputation if she doesn't commit to all these dates. It's sad that she postponed her tour because it was the first time in over a decade that she genuinely built anticipation and interest in her brand. Her tickets were selling very well and her album went to number one despite no promo or marketing from a major label. I don't think Janet cares about these commercial feats, selling big or selling out anymore. I honestly don't think her music career is her passion anymore and hasn't been for some time. She just seems very disinterested in her career and where it goes. After this tour, she should retire and raise her child. If she wants to perform in the near future, she needs to swallow her pride and do a residency. I think she would be successful at it. She wouldn't have to worry about cancellations or promoting a tour

That's why Celine Dion chose to do a residency in Las Vegas and she bought a house there. It worked out very well for her and I don't see why it wouldn't for Janet. She could choose another city to do it in also. That is, if she wants to. She certainly doesn't have to do it. I hope you get a chance to see her this go around, especially if it might be her swan song.

Damnit. Where is Jack Gordon when you need him? Ok, he's dead but still. Jack was Toya's manager during the beginning of her career. You see, the Pope of Pop didn't start in big avenues. Toy started in small avenues unplugged style. Just her and her voice. In some cases literaly cause she did some strip dates but that's for another day. She did it cause she wanted credibility and so decided to start from the bottom, ya know? I think Janet, her jealous little sister, should learn something from Toy and go back to basics. Just singing without all the fireworks and things like that. Just her and the stage showcasing her talent. Toy started like that and it went so well she never did bigger avenues. However, it's noteworthy to say she did once perform in the Gymnasium of an Indiana High School. It was full.

15/16 hour rehearsals? My arse. For what? More lip synching, outdated dance routine nonsense? She will cancel the tour again at some point. Nostalgia suckers will still pay for it though. Enjoy. Rinse, repeat.

You're right on the lipsyncing, but the dance routines are far from outdated - in fact many have new ones for this tour.
