You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

There are times (basically, when it's playing) when I think is Stevie's greatest song.

I've never had a problem with the lyrics. A little sappy, maybe, but appropriately so given the subject matter. (It's interesting that a blind artist would write so many lines about "eyes" and "seeing" in the song.)

It's a kind of musical heaven, and I'd like to go there.

Maybe my least favorite song on the album... Of course, that's not saying much when they're all fantastic. Innervisions is utter perfection.

I love how that beautiful choir at the end of Livin For The City segues into Golden Lady. Sounds georgeous beyond words can express.

For me, it goes:

1. Visions
2. All in Love Is Fair
3. Living For The City
4. Golden Lady
5. Dont You Worry Bout A Thing
6. Too High
7. Higher Ground
8. He's Misstra Know It All
9. Jesus Children Of America

It's a very coherent album (unlike Talking Book, which is more of a "songs" album), and no one track really stands out to me. But I do think "Golden Lady" is probably my favorite song on this masterful record.

Hmm, we seem to be almost polar opposites lol

1. Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing
2. Jesus Children of America
3. He's Misstra Know It All
4. Living for the City
5. Visions
6. All in Love Is Fair
7. Higher Ground
8. Too High
9. Golden Lady

But I love "Golden Lady" so it's just splitting hairs.
