nod this album and George's solo music proved that the P-Funk sound could survive in the 80s and beyond.

Besides the more "obvious" tracks on this one of the more obscure ones I love is "Acupuncture." Just listen to it a few times and try not to keep humming it after it ends.

Mike Kidd Funkadelic and Maceo Parker add some nice raw flavor to this jam. Pumpin it Up was apparently a smash in Europe but never quite got its traction here. And the tour for this was out to lunch with lunch meat.

Such a shame because that song is excellent.I like it even more than "Atomic Dog".I think a video would have helped alot.

er

I wore out both versions of "Hydraulic Pump" lol

To me, "Catch A Keeper" is one of the underrated cuts from the album.

Pumpin' was even getting a lil play at black radio. I was hearing it in Memphis when I visited relatives there and I heard it got some air in Houston too. Personally I just don't think CBS was that invested in the act.

It is nice to cue up "Pumpin' It Up" in lieu of the usual "Atomic Dog" (don't get me wrong, it's a classic).
