Lies

It's not even that serious. When was the last time you help set up and maintain a multimillion dollar business to help promote artistic streaming royalites? The answer is you HAVE NOT. Black, White, Puerto Rican. He is doing it for all.

You need to have several moonwalks to your seat missy. "Negro wake up call". Silly ass comment.

You really need to sit down because you don't know anything about me.

I participate in many community organizing events and social action protests that promote the eradication of police brutality, racial profiling and racism. I donate and give back to many Black charities and I lobby to politicians and Congress men and women about these issues. I mentor and volunteer for many non profit organizations that help urban youth and urban communities. I GIVE to my community (of all races and backgrounds) and the Black community so you don't need to put me in check about anything. Jay Z doesn't do anything for Black people. All he does is capitalize off of issues that he know will garner money. No its not my fault you Jay Z fans are not intellectually up to part and don't have the capacity to see through this propaganda. I don't have to a sit anywhere especially when I see a rapper that degrades and disparages the Black community with his platform and in his music. NO, I am not going to sit down and shut up. Its the truth, and I can't wait till Tobey gets his wake up call.

That's very nice of you doing that but so do I as a volunteer montor for incarcerated persons in prison on top of my gig in law enforcement mngmt however i think you are really reaching when it comes to Jay Z. You steady got something to say about them like you're their accountant. You reaching for the stars with no recepits when all it takes is a simple google search to see their philanthopy to those in need, none of which has to do with this video.

I respect what you do as well because its needed in the community. You are completely entitled to think what you want about me. You can think "I am reaching" all you want but I thank God I have a brain and it actually works. A lot of you all on this site are very very very naive and don't critically think about anything and just accept things for what they are and its sad. Say what you want about me, but I KNOW there is a creepy political agenda that is going on as far as Beyonce and Jay Z is concerned when it comes down to the media and industry. There is evidence that PROVES this and ANYTIME someone tries to use political agendas to destroy the BLACK community and experience, oh you better believe I will always call it out. Ya'll keep posting PR editorials that their PR teams have done. Those people have done nothing for Black people at all.

Racism was created as a result of Capitalism. You can't pick one.

Capitalism is built off racism. Capitalists still use racist rhetoric to gain support to build their corporations, institutions and to acquire resources and land. It a vulturustic ideology. . [Edited 7/12/17 3:36am]

Which is why I said you can't pick one and thank you for citing the quote. It fits perfectly with the discussion and everything I have been trying to say.

C'mon Laura you are being very very very naive on this issue and I consider you to be very intelligent. You're right it is the job of regular folk to vote and do something and believe me we are! We are out in the streets and lobbying to politicians trying to make changes to these discriminatory policies and reforms. HOWEVER, IF JAY Z takes a photo with a govenor and he insists they talked about criminal justice reforms, WHY shouldn't people hold him accountable? WHY shouldn't people expect something to come out of it if that is something Jay Z expressed he was trying to change??? The problem with Jay Z is that he is full of bullshit and only does things for PR and attention. He is not about anything real and people have a right to call him out on it.

[Edited 7/11/17 11:25am]

Maybe he did talk to the governer about it. What else do you want him to do? Why are you assuming he went to speak to the governer just to take a picture?

He is a business man running his business you have to do PR. You cannot do anything if you are not in a postion of power which in America comes from money. Now Jay-Z is new money so his power and influence is going to be limited but who knows maybe the Carter children and futrue generations could be the next Kennedy's or Rockefellas.

I can tell you the black Kennedys will arrive and it will happen due to Capitalism. Not due socialism and do not be so sure those black Kennedys will not be able to effect change. Not all super wealthy people are inherently evil.

Look at Warren Buffet and what he and his family are doing with their money. Or even the Bill Gates Foundation. How many black doctors and sciencetist do you think we not have or will have due to the Bill Gates Scholarship fund. ( I have a cousin who got one of these Scholarships)

It takes money.

Because NOTHING came about the meeting. NO changes were made. Jay Z NEVER spoke about the reform changes. There were no more meetings after this. Why is it SOOOO hard for you to believe that Jay Z does things for PR and marketing purposes? You are very naive, I am sorry you are.

If someone is just taking a photo with a govenor JUST for PR, that means they really don't care about changing criminal justice reforms, THATS THE POINT. If a person is not serious about these issues, they should say they do if they only did a Photo Op. All Jay Z does is use these unfornate social welfare problems for publicity and to market what ever product he is trying to market, period.

I am not going to go back in forth anymore on generational BLACK wealth with you because I schooled you on it and you continue to talk on the sides of your head.

1) I said you have to do to PR that is a part of business. I am not naive about how business works

2) What did you think would come from a meeting between Jay-Z and the Govener? Policy changes and prison reform from a 20 minute meeting? Do you have any idea how our goverment works?

Because if you think policies and laws change because celeberties meet polictican well I think we know who is naive.

3) Unless you have had a long conversation with Mr. Carter how do you know that everything he does is just a photo op and what exactly would you like for him to do? I have yet to hear you explain this.

4) See the definiton of Generaltion wealth because it works to same for black and white people and check an economic or finacial planning course.

--

Generational wealth is an aspect of financial planning that is geared toward passing down stable, significant financial resources to future generations. It does not necessarily connote tremendous wealth and trust-fund kids, but it is a means for clients with a wide range of affluence to attain the goal of comfortably supporting multiple generations, shaping the quality of their education, and influencing the caliber of their economic and social opportunities. This is only achieved through careful and intelligent financial planning.

The vast number of new millionaires who have cropped up in the past 20 years has led many financial planners to specialize in wealth management, a supremely broad financial discipline that incorporates every aspect of one’s financial life. In response, many universities, organizations and professional associations are offering certification programs in the field.

These Certified Wealth Managers, along with Certified Financial Planners (CPFs), financial management firms, government licensed lawyers, and CPAs offer a variety of services aimed at generational wealth management, many of them cross-disciplinary and overlapping.

I want to hate this, but I do like the track and the video. I'm still not persuaded that Jay-Z's accumulation of wealth is a plus for anyone other than Jay-Z, though. (Always seems a thumpingly convenient kind of politics in which 'progress' is represented by one acquiring a massive personal fortune for oneself, especially since that's structurally impossible to reproduce on a mass level.) Still, as I say, the track's a good 'un. And the video's thoughtful without being self-consciously 'artsy' - as the work of his elevator assailant and her sister can tend to be in their more 'woke' moments.

Spot on as usual, bro.

I dig the track and I think the video is brilliant but we are not quite ready to hand J the mantle to lead us to the promised land. lol

He did say he's giving million dollar advice for 9.99 though. biggrin

Yeah, it's a good one. nod And a million dollars' worth of game for $9.99 is such a bargain I'm given to rethink all I've said about capitalism hitherto. razz
