The track listing is not really surprising to me. I was expecting a disc full of remixes for CD #2. I was at least hoping for some demos on the first disc. I have never heard any of the remixes so I'm looking forward to those and I'm always happy when Acapella versions are included on reissues.

I really like D'angelo and will always pick up his next studio albums of original material but I will not pick up an album of remixes. It's pointless.not my thing I guess never been a fan of remixes or greatest hits compilations.

I've gotten deluxe albums with 4 remixes, 6 remixes. But 21 remixes?!?!?

8 versions of Brown Sugar
5 versions of Cruisin
4 versions of Lady
4 versions of Me & Those Dreamin Eyes of Mine
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

Amazingly, they actually missed a remix. Jay Dee's take on "Me and Those Dreamin' Eyes of Mine" is MIA. I'm happy to finally get the Def Squad mix on CD at least.

Never in the history of deluxe cd reissues has any deluxe cd reissue been worth more than
one penny as they are really just money grabs.

twocents

There have been many deluxe albums that were well worth it.

I seriously doubt that.

The Supremes Where Did Our Love Go Deluxe featured the original LP in mono. Also featured a stereo mix version and 26 undressed songs from those album sessions 7 of which were taken from a live homecoming concert done by the ladies.

lol I generally love Deluxe Edition CDs but I agree, sometimes they go overboard with the remixes.I'd rather have more demos and outtakes.

Well, one album is not the same as "many" and c'mon; it's not like your record collection is any
better because of this one particular album a stereo mix and 26 "undressed songs." Record com-
panies and recording artists release deluxe cds for the diehard fans who are willing to spend money
on trivialities, oddities, and the like.

This is not the only one just an example of many.

I have the same take on it as you do. I can see maybe for 2 previously unreleased
songs depending on the artist. How many times must one buy the same MJ album over and over just to hear a different take on a song? I like Thriller and Off The Wall in its original form. Like you mentioned it's just another way for record companies to get more money and a re-mastered cd or an album of 3 remixed songs isn't gonna add any more pop to your collection especially when you can listen to the same shit on Spotify for free. lol

But all of that said, I'd be inclined to pick this up anyway.

i've had the remix of me and those dreaming eyes for years. The song features Redman and is a nice remix. I'm excited to have it official released. If you guys haven't heard it definitely check it out. Are any of these remixes worth listening too??
