When did MJ first do the "hee hee" sound?

Other day friend and I heard an older MJ or Jacksons song and Michael did the classic high pitched 'Hee' sound that is all over Thriller.

.

.

Got us thinking, when was the first time he did that? My guess is on a later Jacksons song, but wonder if any die-hards know.

.

.

(Like to my knowledge, "Bad" is the first time he did the "shum-ON" pronounciation of "c'mon")

I remember that doc..... I tried to DVR it but somehow it didn't work. I need to find it now!!!

.

.

BTW I knew Mavis Staples did it first but not that MJ did it specifically to honor her. BTW That recording isn't really "LIVE"....they make it sound live as she calls out her family members on each instrument, but it's really the studio musicians who are playing it.

He got it from Stevie Wonder ("Maybe Your Baby"). I can't pinpoint Mike's first recorded vocal though. It's from the J5/Jacksons timeframe, that's for sure.

I'll take you There. The version that's always played on the radio, she breaks it down and is like calling out the other Staples on each instrument but it's really not them, it;s the studio players.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

RODSERLING

It's on BLUES AWAY, first song written and composed by MJ, released in THE JACKSONS in 1976. 2 years before Blame It on the boogie.

He does it on STYLE OF LIFE too on the same album, co-written by him.

I remember him doing it on LIVE IN JAPAN in 1973 though.

Nah, not just Marvin. Damn near all chitlin circuit performers were ad-libing. That's all it is.
Mike watched them all when the J5 open up for them from the Regal to the Apollo.
