I like Bruno a lot, but the outfit didn't suit him well. Let's Dance would have been much better. In the other hand, the Kravit's tribute, that was something else.

Well let's check the numbers on youtube:

That’s What I Like - 609,981,812
24K Magic - 735,362,089
Uptown Funk - 2,515,402,950
The Lazy Song - 1,140,456,009

That says to me many people are listening to him. I guess since there's been fewer threads about the Jackson family, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, and other acts who used to get a lot of threads here, someone has to take their place.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

All that says is the that the lemmings and herd mentality is firing on all cylinders and the record companies investment in control over the masses (and the artists) is paying off bigtime.

Why can't Bruno be respected for the very talented singer/musician that he is? Why tear him down because SOME of you feel threatened by him. He loves Prince and respects him. Stop comparing him to Prince. There was only one Prince, just as there was only one Michael. NOBODY will ever replace either one of these legends/icons. Bruno is is own person and is extremely talented. He deserves his success. He deserves respect for his musicianship and talent, and that's the bottomline.

Just for the record, almost everyone that I know over the age of 15+ Feels that Bruno is very/extremely talented. Just because you and your friends don't like Bruno, doesn't mean that he isn't talented. He IS talented, VERY talented.

Oh, RJOrion's pretentious ass will discredit Bruno's talent all day as long as that boosts his ego and make him feel good about disliking a pop artist like Brunz... lol

haters gonna hate, we've seen this thousand of times, Bruno is mad respected in the industry AND worldwide, just not on the org lol lol because stubborn, bombastic fellas roam this place since its foundation to the point where it became a blasphemy to enjoy good pop music without criticizing its ABCs and calling it copycat music like these folks know everything about originality lol. But I suggest they go read a book or two about authenticity in art and learn that such thing DOESN'T exist, period. Tradition is what sells, it's what's happening, it's the reality. Deal with it, face it, Bruno Mars is in the forefront of pop music, he's the IT hitmaker of this generation, go cry a river lol

why try to psycho-analyze a person and disrespect them for not liking what you or the rest of the "crowd" likes?... art is in the eye(ear) of the beholder... if i dont like something, that shouldnt cause an emotional reaction in you to the point where you feel the need to make such ridiculous and farfetched statements about me or my musical preferences... if you were that confident in Bruno's star power, you wouldnt feel such a dire need to make several posts per week with several of your own comments accompanied, trying to convince the Org how "great" he is...if he's that dude, let his star shine for itself... your constant dick-riding and over-the-top hype man behavior does him no service... it only makes you come off as an over-protective fan-girl....no disrespect, of course cool

Keep in mind that a lot of those plays are ficticous. Computer programs are used to increase numbers.

I thought Bruno did a decent job. Where was all this criticism the night of Grammys?

If Bruno's tribute gets people to check out Prince's music and start listening to it then I'm all for it.

Latin, love your posts, so this is not directed at you, please keep em comin man.

I thought Bruno dressed up as Prince, with his guitar, mimicking him, was a disturbing way to pay tribute to Prince. It was more about Bruno selling records than about any respect for Prince. I don't blame Bruno, his managers saw an opportunity and they took it. How to exploit the memory of a true genius to sell more Bruno records.

Not denying that Bruno has skills, he does, but trying, and I do mean 'trying' to be Prince in every way, is not a tribute, it is dress up and make believe.

[Edited 6/22/17 16:33pm]

I got a feeling he was uncomfortable dressed as Prince like its Halloween or something. I didnt like it. However the rest was pretty well done.
