New AFI/No Doubt Collabo project, finally drops!

What a pleasant surprise finding Dreamcar's debut album. I downloaded it straight away and love it. It's new wave drama pop/rock. Anyone else check it out yet??

I like The Preferred and Do Nothing. But I don't know how to take this project.

And I am an avid Davey Havok fan.

Not listened to the album yet but am excited to. I saw them perform on some late night program and kept saying "wait...he looks familiar...that's the guy from...". I was never a No Doubt fan. Turns out I like the band just fine. It was their singer I didn't like. lol

It has a very 80's retro nostalgic sound. I didn't care for it that much. To me it sounded a bit contrived like they are jumping on an 80's bandwagon.

For an album with an 80's feel that's done really well, I think Paramore's After Laughter is much better.

While I like their songs, I don't love this like most of Davey Havok's other projects. I am mad at myself for passing up on seeing them live when they were near my city. He's a really dynamic performer in any band he's in. love

If you will, so will I

I slept on this one, gotta give it a listen as I lovvvved No Doubt and haven't really enjoyed Gwen as a solo artist nor the heavily Diplo/Major Lazeree Push and Shove album. The guys in the band pull their weight and have their own style. Tony should have become a more popular producer IMO. Gonna give this one a listen and come back with my two cents, loved the live performance of All The Dead Girls Love Me on Kimmel.
if it was just a dream, call me a dreamer 2
