Awesome album! Easily in the top 5 of 1997, the others being No Way Out, Velvet Rope, Butterfly and Spiceworld (shut up)

Better than the one that directly precedes it?

i think so...it was good to hear her get away from the tired (by that time) Chucky Thompson/Sean Combs Bad-Boy productions sound...to hear her do songs with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Babyface, and Rodney Jerkins .... it gave her a more mature, polished, soulful sound....

Thanks for posting this topic. My first MJB album was Mary, which I loved and have purchased most of her subsequent releases. I also went back and got the 411 CD but somehow missed this one. Just got it a minute ago new for $5 at Amazon. Looking forward to hearing the whole CD. I have a feeling I might be playing it a lot more than her upcoming one based on the first two releases.

What a second . . .

I asked you to explain your opinion and instead of you resorting to: "Well, it's my opinion" you
actually formed a coherent and persuasive argument?

I'll be damned! I never thought of it that way, but yes, I can see why someone would prefer
Share My World over My Life for the reasons you provide as by 1997, Chucky Thompson, who
I nominated as being elect-able for the Contemporary R&B Hall of Fame, was beginning to grate
my nerves too.

Holy fuck!

I think her second best. I still think My Life is her best but she has a pretty damn good disography for sure.

Recieved it on Saturday, played it, loved it. Like some good medicine wink . You can hear the roots of her next album Mary planted here.

Share My World is definitely an album that I go back to and enjoy. I haven't purchased her last few releases. That being said, I have purchased very few releases over the past decade. Does she have a greatest hits CD?
