Awesome. Well deserved. A shame it'd take for his death to see Morrison's full discography to get the full necessary recognition.

George Clinton said he's the greatest musician he's ever worked with. And GC has worked with Bootsy, Sly, Roger Troutman and Prince.

I listen to some of the stuff he did on his own or with P-Funk, and it's mind boggling really. The arrangements he puts together are crazy. There’s a reason the Ohio Players found the light from a struggling band to hit makers when he joined. There’s a reason P-Funk had it’s greatest success when he came a long.

All of them were one man bands. Sly Stone, Bootsy Collins, Junie, Prince and Roger Troutman. But listening to Junie's work, it's something about them that's very different. He's the strongest musician of the five. I think only Prince could see him, IMO. Junie's melodies were complicated and did a lot of things in one song.

Totally agree. Junie sounds like he was coming from some otherworldly realm. Channeling something heavenly at times.

GC says Junie did a lot of his music on the "3" instead of the "1" and also does Funk in 3/4 time.
