You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Beat me to it.

Unfortunately, I'll also have to add Madvillainy (2004) from Madvillain, on this list. Madlib and MF Doom's followup to their legendary collabo album will probably never see the light of day.

Tevin Campbell T.E.V.I.N

Tevin's first 2 albums were successful. I wouldn't label him a one album
wonder but he quickly faded into obscurity after his 3rd album which was good
but not as successful on the charts.

Yep,My favorite Tevin Campbell album is the 3rd one.

They had a few #1's in the UK, they owned 1984 there and were huge in Europe and Asia too. Look outside wherever you are. You could find info like that on wikipedia easily. You should start calling your threads "Here's what i like on youtube part zzzz" Or just post another Debarge thread.. or something.

Their second single, "Two Tribes", was #1 for nine weeks in the UK. Their third single also hit UK#1.

Even their second album, Liverpool, was actually a hit. It went top-10 in Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, and the UK. It was pretty terrible, though. (If you ever want to hear a bad cover version, YouTube Frankie's cover of The Doors' "Roadhouse Blues". Also in the Dictionary under "fecal matter".)

Then singer Holly Johnson went solo, and his 1989 album hit #1 in the UK and produced three singles that sold over a million copies.

However the clock struck midnight at 1990, and every member of Frankie was eternally washed-up after that.

Actually, Soul II Soul did see success with the follow-up A New Decade. It'd feature the hits "Get A Life," "Dream's A Dream," and "Missing You."
