Earth, Wind & Fire and Chic featuring Nile Rodgers will head out on the road together for the 2054 Tour. The trek will kick off on July 12th in Oakland, California.

According to a joint release from the popular, legendary groups, a special guest, as-yet-unnamed guest DJ will be part of the show and each venue will have a specialized seating configuration towards the front to allow for dancing. The tour will officially wrap on August 22nd in Detroit at the DTE Energy Music Theatre.

"There was a time when we could only dream of 'seeing' Earthy, Wind & Fire live, now we get the honor of sharing the stage together," Rodgers said in a statement. "Get your feet ready for a deluge of hits."

Earth, Wind & Fire are currently on their own tour, with several dates lined up for May including a slot at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Chic's Rodgers recently received the Award for Musical Excellence from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, though he and his band have yet to be inducted.

I saw Earth, Wind & Fire in August 2016 at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. Oh my goodness, they were INCREDIBLE. Best concert I've ever attended, and I've seen Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and The Revolution. I'm hoping to see them again when they come to Philly.

Yeah I saw EWF 4 years ago. Even a little drizzle at the beginning of the show didn't stop fans

from dancing the whole show. They were very good. Not impressed with Phillip Bailey's son

singing as a vocalist.
