*Jamiroquai---I'm enjoying their new album so much but I hate the long wait between albums
*Lauryn Hill----at this point,I think it's safe to say that she's probably NOT gonna release any more albums,lol
*Sade----but the thing is,their fans are extremely patient and loyal.When they finally do release a new album,it will be huge.

*Stevie Wonder---I give him a pass,though.He's released a ton of albums in his long career.If he never releases another album,that's OK.We have more than enough Stevie Wonder music to enjoy in our lifetime.

Raphael Saadiq. One can make the same argument for Phil Collins with Genesis. Ever since Phil joined, the band dropped an album in 1971, '72, '73, '74, 2 albums in '76, one in '78, 1980, Phil made his solo debut in '81 when Genesis also dropped Abacab, Phil had an album in '82, Genesis in '83, no new albums in '84 but Phil and the band both had chart presence with singles ("That's All" for Genesis, "Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)" for Phil), Phil in '85, Genesis in '86 with singles presence well into '87, Phil in '89, Genesis in '91, Phil in '93, Phil in '96, Genesis in '97 and then Phil in '99 with the Tarzan soundtrack. That's a pretty productive streak and when you take note of this, it's not surprising why Phil was such a ubiquitous figure in the 80's. [Edited 2/22/20 9:36am] | |

Just wondering.

 Currently, Willie Nelson is the most prolific country musician. He has released over ten albums every decade since the 1960s. Looking at this current decade, he's on pace to continue.
Toby Keith has put out a new album every year since 2005.
If you include their Christmas album, Lady Antebellum has released four albums over the last four years.

Does he really count? He's never relased anything outside of OutKast by himself like Big Boi has, so to me it is OutKast that hasn't released anything. André has done several guest appearances on other acts songs, so he's not exactly totally inactive. I count a collabo as a release, so there's not really a big gap. That's what I mean. If he's never had a solo album out, he can't have a gap between releases. Only OutKast can. On my list I didn't post people that are inactive, that can be a lot of perfomers. But that there are big gaps between actual albums like Sade, which is what I thought the OP was asking. Or that upcoming Chuck Berry album. His last album came out in 1979.
