Any early reviews of Little Dragon's "Season High"?

To be honest, I wasn't digging the preliminary singles. Having heard them now in the context of an album, however, I'm digging just about every track. Very smart effort.

Their incorporation of Agge's guitar again in the opening track "Celebrate" is particularly fantastic. I'd like to hear more of that. And pop appeal aside, with the more complex compositions and slightly extended instrumental sections we've seen from Little Dragon recently (see "Butterfly," "Gravity," and the band's recent collaboration with De La Soul, "Drawn"), I'm finding the crew is underrated for their sheer musicality. I suspect Håkan, in particular, has a potentially impressive electronic-jazz solo keyboard album in him.

Ottensen

Random ads for this have been flying right by me and I haven't kept up with LD for 2 albums now. After reading your post I think I'm intrigued to check this one out.
