This really suxs. RIP

.

Just to give you an idea how the big band was in the early '80s -- the Eagles, U2 and Billy Joel all opened for J. Geils on the road

RIP J Geils

Centerfold is one of those classics from the 80's that just

sticks in your head. I like Love Stinks and Freeze Frame too.

I also remember Darcel Wynne twerking to Freeze Frame on

Solid Gold.

If I say we ought to it never falls in place
63 is in the lead we need 6 more to win the race.

The J. Geils Band had their funky side, too.

J Geils Band put on one of the best concerts I ever witnessed... up there with James Brown, the Stones, Springsteen, and Prince

Remember Prince's controversial performance as the opener for the Rolling Stones on October 9th, 1981?

Also performing on that same bill was J. Geils Band.

RIP John Warren Geils Jr.

Oh wow! I hadn't even heard. sad

Detroit's ONE and ONLY Electrifying MOJO used to play the hell out of the J. Geils Band. Flamethrower, Freeze Frame, Centerfold...yes...sounds of my youth. Rest well, Mr. Geils. Thank you for the music. rose

I didn't know specifically what was wrong and I actually STILL don't. But I damn sure KNEW something was not right!
