April 1 is the anniversary of Marvin Gaye's death, sadly. And then April 2 is his birthday. He would have been 78 today if he were still alive. Even in death, he remains an icon and fortunately, his musical legacy is alive and well. Happy birthday and rest in peace to Marvin Gaye!

I totally agree that his music is timeless. I was born in 1986, after he died, and yet I've been exposed to a lot of his music over the years. His music is still played often on R&B stations. I can only hope that Prince's music ages as well as if not better than MG's.
