I hope it is exhaustion..

I sat on a LONG ass flight from Japan with Al and he was definitely a 'promiscuous' man.

Anytime a celebrity says they are retiring I'm always a bit skeptical. But he's had a good run.

Jarreau's This Time is not just one of my most loved albums of his, it's a watershed moment in his discography. He's definitely earned his retirement.

I was in high school then too. I loved the start of the video when he talked about awaking

to cheerios. Wish Al the best of health and retirement.

Right - And how would you possibly draw that conclusion from sitting next to someone on a flight? Was he having an orgy in his seat? confuse

I used to know someone who is a huge Jarreau fan. She went to one of his shows about 3 years ago. She said someone escorted him on and off the stage because he was so frail. So he's been ill for quite some time.

I used to play this song in the morning before work eons ago... It never failed to lift me up on a bad day.

.

My heart will soar
With love that's rare and real
My smiling face will feel every cloud
Then higher still beyond the blue until
I know I can like any man reach out my hand
And touch the face of God...
