Maybe people should stop hailing him as the next messiah of music and let him be.

Not to be hyperbolic but he warrants that. He hasn't made one bad project. Section 80 Overly dedicated Good Kidd madd city To pimp a butterfly And now damn/ dam"nation" on Sunday.

same with Kanye though but best rapper alive come on now. Ready to hear this album tho! Some real hiphop for a change getting some airplay

kanye is a producer rapper though. and his lyricism was never up to snuff. Yes kanye had an amazing run. But content wise lyricism flow etc. kanye was never a great rapper. Kanye makes good songs. Kendrick on the other hand is a rappers rapper. Very big difference. Also kendrick understands how to make songs and bring together a coherent vision for an album.(a lost art nowadays for all music) His raps are smart, clever, creative and deep. His the total package rap wise hes like prince the perfect distillation of knowledge of the past music and shapened skills of his own.

What dont you like about it? The sound? The Lyrics? I can understand if you come from the old school funk rnb jazz vibe and liked tpab because of that. The more beat trapstyle production could be jarring if you dont like that sound. How many times did you listen to it?

i dont like any of the beats at all..and even though he's a good writer and lyricist, his Bugs Bunny voice irritates my ears...

The more I listen to this album I Love it and a lot people felt like Rosenberg after tpab. Damn in my opinion solidified that there's no mainstream rapper fucking with Kendrick and no backpacker battle rappers either. Maybe there's some unknown to the masses greater person but you can say that about anybody and anything. He snaps on DNA and xxx and I dig the singing in pride and god. This album is hype and turnup and defiantly could be played in the club or on the radio and he didn't have to sacrifice any of his lyricism. I know when greatness is real seem it with mj when he was alive seen with prince I even seen it in the tech fields with Steve jobs and Elon musk before everyone puts them on a pedestal.
Kendrick is the real deal and he don't have to die to get praise from me. He's the goat.
Class dismissed. cool
