The Jack White Appreciation Thread

I don't know if anyone on here knows, but I am a HUGE fan of Jack White! 😀
If you have not heard any of his songs, you are missing out! Once you hear something of his you will become a fan!

He is extremely good at what he does. His style is eclectic/electric, but he says he mostly plays the blues. I know I have heard some amazing bluegrass songs from Jack White and I listen more to contemporary jazz, blues, alternative, country, rock, r&b, funk and pop.
From being a long-term fan of his, here is what I know about him:
He is an amazing artist to work with! He picks tons of wonderful musicians to work alongside of him.
He is VERY sweet person in person. He does a lot for his family, friends, and his fanbase!
His creativity is astounding! He is not limited to what he is being told is inside the box!
He believes in his music and other musicians/he works with. I have seen him support many new and upcoming authors, poets, and artist.

He is starting a new album and I wish him all the best on it. All of you on the Org. should check him out!

Thanks 😁

I don't listen to his music but have great respect for him. He's by all accounts a decent person, supports independent music, and collaborates with everyone from Loretta Lynn to A Tribe Called Quest.

Yeah . . . that's me with about 20 artists at any given time. I'm always glad when I finally do, but inertia is a heckuva drug. lol

Especially with prince gone, fave contemporary singer-songwriter-producer-musician. He rocks and best of all is authentic. Love 90% of what he has released.

Agree. Including side projects, collaborations and albums he records for his girlfriends ( lol ) I'd say I've loved about 80-90% of it

He is very talented and I love his indie and anti mainstream persona. However, laterly it seems he is pandering more to the mainstream. I didn't like how he supported TIDAL.

Jack White is AMAZING. If you ask me, he's the greatest thing to come on the music scene since Prince. I prefer his White Stripes stuff to his solo efforts and the Raconteurs (never could get into the Dead Weather at all). Top 5 albums...

-

1. Elephant (White Stripes)

2. White Blood Cells (White Stripes)

3. The White Stripes (debut)

4. Lazaretto (Jack White)

5. De Stijl (White Stripes)

I'm an R&B man, so he's not my style. However, Lazaretto is a killer track.

I'm a fan...not a die hard, but a fan nontheless. I like his stuff with The White Stripes a little better than his solo efforts. Talented is an understatement, he knows his stuff. It seems he likes to experiment a lot with his music, especially with incorporating some country aspects into it, which I can respect, but I wish he would sort of go back to the fun rock music vibe that he did with The White Stripes. Of course I love "Seven Nation Army", "Icky Thump" and "Jolene", but "Catch Hell Blues" goes hard. nod

For those of you who have wanted to check him out but never got around to it, this concert here is a great all around body of his work, as well as amazing performances by him and his two backing bands. Enjoy:

How so?

Jack White isn't mostly known for his blues-guitar based approach to rock n roll?

oh for sure

for me though, there's just a different feel to reignwolf's playing ... and singing

i guess i'm saying i thinking reignwolf brings his own thing to table.... where i've seen other guys who are straight jack white ripoffs

i do see the similarities though

Oh I have met, talked to and know Olivia Jean. She is one graceful lady!
It's sad what I heard she has gone through online. Jack's nephew told me about some of the things that have happened.

Karen Elison also has a new album coming out as well...

Scarlett and Henry are the some of the most energetic, creative, fun children to know as well. They are intelligent and always ask questions and want to know more.

I talked to Olivia once after one of the Black Belles shows and I've seen her live solo as well. She is indeed very nice.

I'm seeing Karen Elson live next month too.

As for Jack's kids always asking questions, supposedly he doesn't always give them the right answers, haha:

Jack White is awesome. I've seen him live several times as the white stripes, raconteurs, solo and with Loretta lynn. Anytime I'm in nashville I go to his third man record store. For those that don't know he has a record club that releases material every three months. I can only dream princes vault would be opened to us all like that.

It WOULD be a fantastic idea if Prince's family came up with a vault package idea like Jack. Prince would have so much more money if he would have done that. But only if Jack didn't have an issue with replication. Oh well, I am willing to see what happens with the vault.
