I've been on the radio for about 4-5 months now. I haven't announced it yet becausd I was getting comfortable trying to find my voice, my way and how I wanna do the show. I still haven't figured it all out yet but it's almost their. I was actually gonna make a post about ot today, finally.

KTSU 90.9FM out of Houston. I'm on early Sunday mornings from 2 AM to 6 AM playing R&B oldies from the 1950s through the 70s.

SoulAlive

I have his 1978 album Get Down on vinyl smile the title track became a surprise comeback hit for him in the disco era.

John Frusciante, former guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, performed Duke Of Earl at a recent concert

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I remember when I was a kid my dad bought his Duke of Earl album from the old
Record Bar store probably around 72. It had a picture of Gene on the front dressed
like a Knight lol and the label was pink like Jesse Johnson's Shockadelica album. I used to like Duke Of Earl, Tear For Tear, and You Threw A Lucky Punch.
