Prince's most New Jack Swing song and maybe gayest moment...

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

also, all the joints teddy riley produced for Michael Jackson's amazing Dangerous LP... Cant Let Her Get Away (favorite MJ song ever) Remember The Time In The Closet Jam Drive Me Wild Dangerous Why You Wanna Trip On Me teddy and MJ had incredible rhythmic chemistry...

"Can't Let Her Get Away" was one of my favorites on that album. Even though I had to read the lyric sheet to know what the hell Mike was saying in parts lol , I still loved the energy in his vocal, and that groove was ever funky. With that being said, I think NJS reached its pinnacle with "Remember The Time". That rhythmic swing was undeniable. It was late in the NJS era but what a way to close it out with Mike. Sure, there were other hits to come after but IMHO, nothing surpassed, "RTT". I won't even go into the world premiere televised special event for the debut of the video.

MJ's foray into NJS was dope; his work with Teddy Riley was indeed excellent and "Can't Ket Her Get Away" is my jam, one of my favorites off Dangerous. :music:

I thought MJ was a tad bit late to the NJS party myself but then again, when exactly did the genre fade? I always assumed late-1990 or early-1991? I'm sure I'm wrong though.

Anyway, NJS needs is awesome. It's the perfect combination of funk, dance and hip hop that I think would fit in if it were to make a comeback. I also like the dressy-casual attire of the NJS era; long sleeve polos and sweaters with slacks and dress shoes is a killer combo.

FYI, New Jack Swing doesn't limit itself to just R&B and Hip Hop, its in other genres too like Pop, Dance, you can even hear Hip Hop beats in some Rock songs at times. Open your eyes and ears sometimes.

Has there been any other exciting new Black American art form since New Jack Swing?

My favorite NJS song by Prince is Don´t Say U Love Me.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Absolutely one of my favorite eras in music! The late 80's-early 90's bring back so many memories from high school and college and the new jack swing was in full effect then. Thanks for posting all these great vids everyone! music
