Fat Joe Unsung...What the?

I love me some Unsung and look forward to every episode. I noticed in the tv listing, they are featuring Fat Joe. Ok why?? How is he unsung when he still has hits on the radio. I'm perplexed lol.

I agree it is a stretch for the series concept, but Fat Joe is often overlooked in people's lists of fave whatevers.

I would rather put Diamond or Lord Finesse on Unsung.

What up Cinny, would that be Diamond D or the female rapper Diamond from Crime Mob?

Fat Joe is on other peoples hits. Is All The Way Up his or French Montanas?

And he does somewhat get overlooked. Especially his peak from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s.

I guess u guys are righr about him not typically getting his props but it still might be a stretch to day he's unsung. All the wayup is Fat Joe and Remy Ma featuring French Montana. Dope track too.

As much as I want to diss the selection of Fat Joe as an Unsung subject (and yes, it does seem like they're REALLY stretching to find content that viewers will tune into), I've always been, on the low, a Fat Joe fan. Yes, I'll be watching with a very skeptical eye but I will definately be watching.

Same here. I'll be watching for sure.

How about JJ Fad for an Unsung story if they need rappers to cover.

They definitly deserve an episode.

IMO, artists that are not commercial do not automaticaly deserve an Unsung. I think Unsung should be for artists that were pioneers, had unique or interesting talents or artists that are overlooked and underrated.

Good episode. Took me back to some good tunes that I'd forgotten and learned a little more about Joey Crack and the Terror Squad.

JJ Fad had two albums. The first one was produced by Dr. Dre, so there could be some juicy stories in there.

An hour long? I just checked their 2nd album didn't even chart.
Not Unsung. Maybe if they do a 80s Hip-Hop 1 hit wonders how with them and Special Ed and Def Jef than yeah, lol.

From the "WHAT-DOES-THAT-HAVE-TO-DO-WITH-ANYTHING?" file: back in the day, there was a group of girls in my high school that had a real cool Sydney/Charraine (from House Party) dance routine to JJ Fad's "Now Really".

Back to the topic- I'd LOVE a Special Ed Unsung. That was my dude...both of his albums. Shout out to Hitman Howie Tee.

It's actually not a bad idea to have a hip hop one hit wonder show. I would totally be into that. L'trimm, Special Ed, Chubb Rock, and many more.

..getting back to Fat Joe, one thing I appreciate about his style I appreciate is that it sounds incredibly NY. No trendy trap shit. Just straight up dope beats but it still sounds current and fresh. Go Joe!

Not everyone knows this though. I would have never known he had recent music out if not

for this show. There are a few Unsung artists from the 90's who are still recording new music.

I used to see him back in the day at the clubs CUTTING UP...back when he was still fat. I swear there are some women in this world that will never miss a chance to bend over and have men inspect their hindquarters like cows going to market lol
