George certainly went through a lot of stages, i still remember the period where the public was already convinced he was gay and he said something like "i will never dignify that with an answer" meaning he wouldn't answer either way. But he did have a girlfriend around the time of Faith that was in the in want your se video, asian woman. He says he didn't really know he was gay til he was 27, kinda odd, everyone else was pretty sure he was as soon as he hit the scene.

His sexuality is not as confusing to me as how he acted it out. He says he cruised parks because he liked sex with stranger and also that the man he got caught with a few years ago was a late fifties tubby guy who said that a lot of men were repulsed by him but george went right at him. That's kinda wierd, George was a good looking man, a guy who didn't have to do those things. I guess maybe the sneaking around and the risk was part of the thrill. we all have our quirks, I know i do. but its a tough one to understand.

I remember that interview. I feel like it was the Older period, since was doing next to no interviews during LWP era. I also remember him saying "it's no one's business!". In fact, now that I think about it, it could have been an interview when Unplugged was about to air. Still the same Older era. He knew before 27 that he was gay. To be technically he noted a couple of years before that he realized he had no choice in this, and that he wasn't bi, but gay. Just to play semantics, he knew. He knew. He just didn't admit it to himself until his mid-20s. But he knew. We all know who we are, especially by that age. And ol' girl in the video, I think, was also a make-up artist (perhaps his), and the girlfriend yes. Ironically, it was a body double in the video for him. George is left-handed, the double writing "MONOGAMY" on the girl's body is right handed. haha

As far as the "didn't have to do those things" when going towards a 50-year old hefty guy - just because he's aesthetically pleasing doesn't mean he's meant to sleep with the same. How boring - guys sleeping with their proverbial twins. Lame! If gays want to "celebrate diversity", then let them. There is such a thing as a chub and a chaser. GM isn't resorting to sleeping with a fat guy because he's hiding something. He's shagging a tubby guy because he wanted to. You demean and disrespect guys who are big by thinking they're less-than, or they're a last option, or undesirable in some respect. Listen, I'm a big dude, and I get 20-somethings half my age, and less than half my weight barking up my tree all the time. (And I let them right in treehouse, don't think I don't!) They love a big boy, and I love them right back for a few hours, or a long weekend. They could get any other 20-somethings their age, in their college dorm, or wherever easily. But they came at me. Not because they were out of options, but because they wanted to. Same with George, and anyone else. He's a celebrity and could fuck anyone he wanted probably. Who he chooses is not a reflection on anyone good or bad. It's simply his choice, and it's fine.

To be clear, he liked anonymous sex - which mean just random hook ups. People here would choke if I told them how many people I've slept with. I regret none of them, because it's what I choose to do, freely. GM was the same.

It's not hard to understand. Once a person accepts who they are, and explores that and learns their ins and outs (no pun), then the only battle is who's next.

ok i get it i get it, lets leave the treehouse talk out it's a little disturbing. I just watched a sickening docu called "an open secret" so maybe that's on my mind. Hey, one of the guys ran off to england and grabbed up a young 18 year old and got married. really disturbing stuff. so no more treehouse ok.

Wow. That's awfully selective. If you wanna stick to your theory. How about Rick Parfitt (Status Quo), George Michael and Carrie Fisher? Three cultural icons, who died within days.

You can not really compare. Every year famous prople will pass, but in 2016 we lost 3 major worldstars.

It was more than 3, but whatever.

They have limited objectives; to embarrass and sensationalize.

First, it's "couldn't care" less. If you could care less, that means you care a little but you're not giving it up just yet. Just sayin'.

Second, TMZ despite its in-your-face approach, digs and finds the truth. You can love them or hate them, but they break real stories. They aren't making up Bat Boy like the Star used to publish, or "JFK is alive and living with Hitler!" doctored photos. They find the truth and they put it out. There's no need for anything extra. Hollywood is extreme enough on its own. Hell, they practically broke the story on Prince dying. They aren't here to embarrass. They simply find the truth (they have contacts and sources all over the place), and publish it. Like it or not, that's why they have the rep they do. Harvey Levin is an attorney, so all he ever did was find the truth (despite whether he used it or not in a court case to his client's advantage). He knows the truth in Hollywood is much better than the Enquirer's fiction.

Hell, you could go with a glossed over thing like Love B Scott, or that tragic board Lipstick Alley, or vapid nothingness like Extra or Access. But TMZ will find the truth and put it out there. Their interests lay with no particular star.

And lets not forget that TMZ really became [in]famous when that outlet was the first to correctly reported the death of Michael Jackson, while all corporate news media & tabloid outlets were getting misinformation.

i don't think it's anyting to do with the year, but there are just an awful lot of deaths right now. I said this back in january, before it really even got going, how "they're dropping like flies". This was before Prince, a guy i'd never put it like that with. But it is strange how they're dying in such numbers.

Let's get your facts sorted, because they're way off. I hope you're not going around telling such huge untruths.

Source with a timeline of sorts That link includes another video I'll mention in a minute. Here's another video detailing the 2011 pneumonia scare.

His pneumonia scare was in 2011. That video is from late 2011, after his release from hospital. He had canceled some Symphonica Tour shows because of it. He felt bad at dinner, then said that's the last thing he remembers for the next five weeks. He had to learn how to walk again, as his muscles had atrophied. This all happened right before Christmas, and he was then released. That's what you're seeing in the video.

He released "White Light", a single about the near death experience the next June 2012, which he also performed at the 2012 summer Olympic closing ceremonies (which was the song's public performance debut).

The pics of him being fatter are from recent weeks. They are not lies, nor are they photoshopped. GM has gained weight between public gigs before. It's human nature. By the way, your video link says "last interview", which is true. The last time he was in front of any camera to talk was when he was released from hospital. In 2011, not last week or something. You're confused as to it being a Christmas era video and him dying on Christmas. I've now cleared that up.

Please, for the respect of a human being, get the information correct so more misinformation isn't perpetuated in the public. We're still stamping out "he knew he was going to die" bullshit melodrama about Prince's death. Let's not escalate it with GM's passing.

Mind you, I'm attacking the misinformation, no the person delivering it.

Celebrating George with more of his music. Here's a re-worked version of 'I'm Your Man', released in 1996 as the b-side to 'Fastlove'. It actually appeared in the same arrangement one year earlier, as a cover by singer Lisa Moorish, where George also provided his vocals to the second verse and backing vocals.

If TMZ knows the truth why don't they find out who got those pills for Prince? Why don't they follow up and find out what is going on with the homicide investigation?

They are not going to report on any thing about the case because they do not give a flying fuck.

and their are no clicks in it for them.

They also lied their ass off and said he caused a fuss in the hospital and left because he could not get a private room however according to Judith Hill they were their until Noon the next day and she said he was not raising hell in the hosptial. A check of flight records could have easialy confirmed when he left the hospital but when you get your info from Leroy the janitor that is how things go.

In addtion, people are given Narcan when they are just not responsive not always for drugs but in the rush to the story none of that mattered. I think there bullshit reporting was done to slam Prince just like they do everybody. They have TMZ sports which exsist to slam black atheletes

They are scum and Harvey Levin supports Donald Trump which makes him extra scum. Anyone who supports TMZ is scum as well.

What Denzel Washington has to say about the media applies to these scum bags.

So sad for us here on Earth to lose another great great GREAT artist. George always made me feel warm inside. His music was real and beautifully crafted. As a kid I always enjoyed him, I would watch WHAM!'s vhs between Michael Jackson vids. And his music was always a joy as I grew up in the 90s. Fastlove was a jam of youth - and the 2004 song Amazing must be one of his best songs ever.

I often watched his videos on Youtube, they are ageless and well, he was just a timeless artist and he didn't take himself seriously, he was self deprecating and could laugh at himself... his appearences with Ricky Gervais as an example. He is up there for me with the greats.

If you ever had any doubt about his vocal ability and beautiful tone... his Unplugged session was gorgeous.

They say he is to be buried alongside his Mother. We always say Rest in Peace, but I like to believe they aren't simply at rest, they live on in another way, being the creative souls they were on Earth but with a sense of ease and peacefulness within the soul... so rest and live on George, love ya.

George was & of course still is one of my favorite singers, he wrote some amazing songs too. His best IMO was 'A Different Corner' it's a song which has a haunting quality to it which only really great songs have. George Michael is a 80's icon and I think his "Older" album is very highly underrated. It's quality from beginning to end. I also think George was and is one of the top tier blue eyed soul singers along with Michael McDonald, Bobby Caldwell, Rod Stewart & Van Morrison among others. He also covered some of Stevie's song, like "You & I" which he recorded for Will & Kate's wedding. I also think he would have been a awesome choice to follow in Freddie's footsteps if they put out a new Queen record in the 90's, his cover of "Somebody to Love" is another of his great songs. Again it's so very sad it takes somebody to pass to realise their greatness but I can safely say like with David Bowie, Prince et al I've always been a huge fan of their music, in George's case, even going back to his Wham! days. Their songs had a great, uplifting pop-soul vibe & his solo work - Freedom '90, Jesus to a Child, Faith, Father Figure, I Want your Sex, Kissing a Fool, Fast Love, Too Funky...the list goes on. You could make a greatest hits record out of almost every song he released. One of the newer songs he released from his Symphonica record I really like is a cover of Sananda's/TTD's "Let her down easy". I'd also like to have heard another record similar to "Songs from the last century" where George did a soul/standards album. I was also looking forward to the planned new record & the deluxe edition of "Listen Without Prejudice", hopefully it'll still see a release in the near future.

RIP George, gone but never forgotten sad

To be a household name well-known around the world like you claim then they would have to be known to people other than those who know rock/rock 'n' roll music. That's the level of fame David Bowie, Prince and George Michael achieved on both sides of the Atlantic--even though George only toured in the US once since 1991 (understandable since he doesn't go on tour nearly as often as Status Quo).

I don't think you'll ever admit that Status Quo were just not popular in North America despite the facts I presented: a handful of dates in the US and Canada to crowds of a few hundred people 13 years ago despite playing to thousands annually since then all over Europe.

No worries no stone will be unturned to find out what happened to him. It will all be done with respect. He looked sick in those pics but no one sent paparazzi to follow him around and see what meds he was picking up. You will see a lot of compassion and concern for George.

It is unfortunate that everyone does not get the same treatment from the media.

i disagree, the british media is vicious, they make tmz look like wall street journal. I mean they are terrible. just look at the ones who come over here, pierre morgan and that guy who interviewed MJ, ruining what was left of his life in the process. I mean, just sneaky and evil. I wouldn't mind five minutes alone with Martin Bashir, honestly. I don't believe Prince had to go through anything approaching what MJ did, true, tmz were sneaking around but we still don't know too much about Prince's death and it looks like it's a good possibility that we won't for a long time.

Can you imagine someone dredging through ALL your photos and pulling out the very worst after you die to insult you. Hnece why in this reporst of your post, I deleteed the link and them.

.

PS: Trivial Pursuit, loved your story, seems George Michael inspired a lot of us with courage. I feel really bad now as I am sure I had the gall once to accuse you of homophobia - feel really stupid now.

.

I have had some encounters too, but never cottaging (Bog queen stuff), I was lucky when I came out I got into bath houses and did all my sleaze there. I was with my first partner when outside was released and it was really in that first year I was comfortable in my new gay skin.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
