P Funk albums

What are your favorite P Funk albums? Lately I've been listening to this album like crazy! smile

funkentelechy-vs-the-placebo-syndrome-compressed.jpg

headbang music ^^for me,this is the ultimate P Funk album.Classic funk album from beginning to end.But now I'm gonna pick a favorite Funkadelic album:

MI0000001505.jpg?partner=allrovi.com

^^It's been said that this album, released in 1976,is really just a collection of outtakes from Hardcore Jollies, but I think it's one of their strongest albums! "Undisco Kidd" is my JAM

Anyway....let's discuss the Parliament albums, the Funkadelic albums, and any other side projects from the P Funk empire. What are your favorite albums?

1976 was such a busy year for them.Early that year,Parliament's album Mothership Connection was released and became a massive seller. Then,in the latter part of '76,they released The Clones Of Dr.Funkenstein around the same time as two Funkadelic albums: The Tales Of Kidd Funkadelic and Hardcore Jollies. This is in addition to Bootsy's solo debut album!

It wasn't just the music that a incredible, it was also the live shows and the artwork on their album covers etc that made them stand out. I think that is what is missing in today's music. Parliament-Funkadelic - Full Concert - 11/06/78 - Capitol Theatre (OFFICIAL)

I recently purchased a vinyl copy of this album on eBay,with the comic book and the poster included smile That's one of the things that's so cool about collecting P Funk albums.....many times, you get bonus posters and extra goodies, included in the album.

Enjoy, it's a ride. There are 4 different P-Funk eras.

Their first era of pre funk. When they were a doo-wop group then a Temptations like outfit. 59-67

2nd era is the funk-rock era of 67-73.

3rd is their most popular era. The Mothership era. 74-81.

Last era of 82 to whenever.

"getting to know you" is a underrated but great P-Funk jam. the soulful chorus is great, I love how I can hear Mudbone's voice out front. he is a distinctive & important part of many of Parliament's songs - especially on funkentelehy vs placebo syndrome..

EXCELLENT Parliament album - they're still at the top of their game, despite the defections of Glenn Goins & others. the only track on this album that I don't really like is "liquid sunshine". everything else - BAM.

Awhile back I found a mint copy of this album on eBay,with the poster and iron-on transfer smile I was thrilled! This is one of the P-Funk projects that *must* be listened to on vinyl. You don't get the full experience listening to it on CD.

This is my favorite one. Hard to choose. I remember during the winter of this year me and my

cousins were snowed in for 3 days at my grandmother's. No school. We would play cards and funk to this album all day. They started to lose steam on the Gloryhallastupid album.
